Throughout the day, I’d say max is 3-4 hours we go without texting

Thank you!

Violence against people is fine, it’s just animals 😅

Oh ok, I was looking on Storygraph and different people had it listed as graphic, moderate, mild or not at all so it was difficult to get an idea of what I had to prepare myself for lol. If it’s just a wolf being rescued I can deal with that, thanks!

My eyes after I didn’t take proper care of my contacts

Take good care of them and your eyes like everyone else is saying on here and you’re fine! Just don’t be stupid, it hurts

I mainly do ebooks from the library because it’s more convenient at work, but I do prefer physical books and have maybe 150ish right now? I’ve read 80% of them I’d say and have reread a few as well. I mainly buy pretty books, books not available at my library, or books I know I’ll want to reread

Finished: Warriors: Dark River by Erin Hunter. This book was kind of meh, but the ending has been my favorite of the reread so far. I remember liking Hollypaw, but this time around I felt she was quite annoying. Jaypaw continues to be a favorite though.

Still reading: The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot. Someone last week kept insisting there was nothing wrong with her case… I can assure everybody there was a lot wrong, and I can’t believe anyone who read this book would take away that nothing wrong was done. This has been a slow read for me, the material is quite hard to read at times. What’s really hit me is how RECENT this all is, the effects from slavery and Jim Crow laws still affect the entire US. Like I knew this, but it really makes you think about it. I do believe this is a book everyone should read.

I use Goodreads for TBR and ratings and a book notebook to write my thoughts of the books

Lovealltigers

Oh I forgot that existed lol, that is worse

Lovealltigers

Definitely! I’m the only one without kids and I don’t want any, I love spoiling my nephews and niece though. I think we have a pretty good relationship

Lovealltigers

With some yes. Never feel bad you’re left out of workplace drama though, it’s exhausting

Personally, Community got to be annoying after a few seasons and I only liked two of the characters, I never finished it. Psych wins for me

Rape jokes will never ever be funny to me, and I stay as far away as possible from people who do find them funny.

I’m glad that others have liked it, but it will always be my least favorite Trek 🤷‍♀️

I read two at a time, an ebook at work and a physical book at home

There was a festival in my city that included a parade in my street, meaning I couldn’t get to my house after work. I had parked it at a friend’s apartment, about a 20 minute walk from my house. A few hours after the parade ended, I started walking to my car. There were others walking around because of the festival but at this instant I was alone. An SUV pulls up to me and rolls down their window and a middle aged man in sunglasses starts asking if I’m ok, over and over again. I just keep saying I’m all good, just walking. He says it’s good to see me. I have never seen this man in my life and I wasn’t entirely sure what to do other than keep walking, I just said you too? And he says a couple other things but I forget exactly what. He eventually drives away and I immediately call my boyfriend to tell him. As I’m on the phone, the car comes into view again. He had looped around the block! And he had this CREEPY joker smile on his face. So I’m about 7-8 minutes from my car and I start jogging. The dude turns around to start following me. I start sprinting to my car, and the car did not follow me into the parking lot. I get in my car, lock the doors, and just sit for a few minutes watching for his car because I didn’t want to drive home and have him follow me to my house. I don’t see him for a while so I drive home and didn’t see the car again either. Got in, locked the doors, called 911 to report it in case anything happened to anyone else, and then called my friend to come spend the night with me lol. The police sent extra patrols out but as far as I know nothing ever happened.

That night was also the fireworks show, where some guy started waving a gun around causing a huge panic. So cops were kind of busy that day.

I live in a midsize suburb, the festival is right next to the police station. Stuff like that never happens, it was pretty crazy.

I’m a receptionist at a specialty eye clinic. I work at our least busy location, at most we only get like 23 patients in a day. So I get to cross stitch, do college work, watch shows, etc.

Patients love it! I’m 22 and they comment on how it’s good to see young people still doing it lmao. I’ve gotten a couple coworkers to start too! Repeat patients will ask about my progress and I even had one gift me a pattern from the 90s!

Lovealltigers

I always have and always will. I may sound crazy but I swear I can actually hear the concert better with them anyway

22, I have 4 good friends, and I count myself very lucky. One I’ve been friends with since first grade, one since 10th, one is that friends sister that we all became friends with a few years later, and one I met at 19 at a Ricky Montgomery concert.

I don’t read a ton of duologies tbh. Six of Crows and The Crimson Moth are the ones I’ve finished and they were both good. Six of Crows was overhyped for me, not saying it isn’t a very good couple of books but I was expecting AMAZING based on what everyone said. The characters in The Crimson Moth were just kind of annoying to me, but I liked it well enough.

Omg thank you

This was my third attempt, first one was disastrous and the second was good enough for me to start on the pattern lol. Thank you so much!
