My usual play-throughs have dino spawns turned up 3x higher than base vanilla, and I don’t have any issues — and the base-loading has been optimized heavily in ASA, you can legitimately build massive castes/etc that would straight up crash ASE

What else is there, though? It’s ASE with better graphics and mod support, on an updated game engine. What’s missing for you?

What’s funny? 🤷‍♂️ I remember waiting like 30 minutes for some servers to load their mods, and now it’s instant.

The background determines everything — are those even his kids? Are they still married? How much money does he make? Does he have any to spare?

Halloween costumes are not a need, they’re a luxury — and his wife is equally responsible for providing, quit being sexist.

I’m not stating anything as fact — we literally don’t know.

Plenty of abusers frame themselves as the victim — going solely off her summary of events is meaningless.

I’m saying that I totally understand how somebody could be rude/pointed with somebody who is abusing them. So there’s a very real chance that he’s being abused.

It’s like finding a mean dog on the streets — chances are somebody kicked the shit out of that dog, rather than the dog just magically choosing to be mean.

We just don’t know that without more information.

This definitely comes across as somebody who has been financially abusing them for years, and they’re at the end of their rope.

I would never talk to my wife that way, for sure. But her mother has financially abused us for over $500,000 and growing — and she refuses to stop. Now we’re in counceling, which of course I’m paying for too — and at this point, I feel zero percent obligated to care about her mother’s feelings or to be nice. 🤷‍♂️

So I totally understand how somebody could be at the end of their rope with somebody who is abusing them. Nobody owes their abusers kindness.

MOR — He does sound a little controlling, but that’s also exactly how people sound when they’ve been repeatedly financially abused by irresponsible people.

Lazy developers have always produced trash games.

Good developers now have better tools that allow them to focus on the things that matter, and automate away the tedious tasks. Then that good developer makes sure that the final product is polished and meets/exceeds their expectations before releasing it.

That entirely depends on the company, not the technology.

That’s not what ASA is. ASA is incredible:

- Gorgeous raytracing graphics/lighting
- Modding is 10x easier
- Mods load instantly, no more waiting on mod lists to load
- Cross-platform mod support
- Tons of free content
- Ongoing engine upgrades/support

ASA is fantastic.
