Hey, I would like to playfully react with some defense for Dario's words! :) (even thought of course I can't see in his mind)

> "With open source software you can see the source, here you cannot see inside the model"

What he means is that noone knows what do insides of the LLMs represent - it's "alien" code. Someone could release open weight model with special backdoors e.g. mentioning special keyword sends all your API keys to specific server and you would not be able to tell even if it's OPEN "source" model. There is endless other potentially harmful examples that would be difficult to replicate in usual OSS.

> "A lot of the benefits like many people working on it, being additive doesn't work in same way“

Similarly, people can collaborate on new algorithms and training/inference improvements but cannot really collaborate on the final trained LLM model as they could in OSS.

> "Ultimately you have to host it on the cloud"

Here, as others pointed out, I think he is pointing to the frontier models, median person cannot run Kimi K2 or GLM 5 class models locally, and the trend will probably continue as larger and larger models will get trained.

Can someone explain how do these free credits work? I am on a Pro plan, got $250 free credits for Claude Code, used $3 in 1h and hit the weekly limit... How can one spend those credits without hitting weekly token limits? Also this is my first time using Claude Code...

Additionally short positions are not required to be reported in the 13F. So he could have been already insured in the past by selling calls.

Lyfaem

This is true and makes the whole "Over $2 billion in AUM" very likely false.

Can you explain what does "drag and dropping over tabs" mean? If you mean changing their position in the side bar, than that works as it is supposed to for me.

Lyfaem

Technically the chances of someone guessing that are 0.00169%. So if you take 1000 people then you expect to have at least 1 who does it, but given a 1 person who claims he can do it the "pure chance" is quite unlikely.

Lyfaem

was it in your experience the same as I describe here? https://www.reddit.com/r/phenibut/comments/14t0lng/how_should_faa_looktaste/

Lyfaem

Yes I think it's slightly moist, reminds me of Alpha-GPC and how it clumps up if humidity gets to it. (I have added the vendor names.)

Are you from the US? I am in the central Europe, my resume is terrible, my major is not DS related and I was still invited to all interviews I was interested in. (sample size 4)

Lyfaem

Ok, thank you will figure it out differently :)

Lyfaem

you are right, I didn't think of the fatigue from calorie deficit

Lyfaem

Too late for that :)

Lyfaem

Yes, this wouldn't help, cash stays in mmf until the transaction is complete.

Lyfaem

tldr: US ETFs are not available in Europe, use website like www.justetf.com

Lyfaem

I think that you are wrong in this, at least for majority of eu countries you should tax any realized capital gains

Lyfaem

Are these all returns in EUR or are S&P and Nasdaq in USD?

Lyfaem

Check Siraj Raval on youtube, he recently made few videos about this

Lyfaem

yes , except for exchanges in country of your degiro account, for example you don't have to pay for XETRA if you made your account on degiro.de

Lyfaem

It depends on the size of your portfolio, if it is large than this fee will still be small % compared to other brokers who have larger trading fees.

Personally, my portfolio is small so I find all my ETFs on 1 EU exchange (Euronext Amsterdam) + I pay for NASDAQ for individual stocks.

Lyfaem

If by Symbian you mean Java games, there is J2ME loader on the play store

Lyfaem

It is because you paid 2.5e exchange connection fee. It is an annual fee for each exchange except ones from country of your account.

I would recommend some dividend focused ETFs like S&P500 Dividend Aristocrats, from the definition it only includes about ~2% of tech. It also outperformed SPY for the majority of years since its inception. If you want to avoid dividend tax there are also some accumulating ETFs.
