I wouldn't say I like them, but their existence does not offend me in any way. It's just an expected outcome of economies of scale + freedom of enterprise which benefits everyone. I mean look, the guy who made minecraft became a billionaire because hundreds of millions of people bought the game. J.K. Rowling became a billionaire because hundreds of millions of people bought the books or watched the movies. Bezos became a billionaire because hundreds of millions of people are voluntarily using Amazon.

To me, it seems there a lot of zero-sum thinking in leftist circles like reddit. I am not poorer because Bezos is rich. The opposite, I am richer because Amazon exists as it often offers good prices and convenience. And if it ever stops doing that I will stop shopping there.

So this whole shtick about if being unfair that billionaires exist, I don't but it at all. What is debatable is whether these people have too much political power and whether they should be taxed more, and if so, how (taxing unrealized gains seems like a bad idea).

Hier ist ein Aufschlag: Die These des Artikels ist Mumpitz. Die Schweiz hinkt nicht hinterher, sondern spielt im Europa-Vergleich ganz vorne mit.

Der Autor beschwert sich, dass nicht so viele Solaranlagen gebaut werden wie in anderen Ländern, aber wenn eben schon 52% des Stroms aus Wasserkraft, 30% aus Atomkraft und 12% aus PV kommen, ist da eben nur noch ganz wenig CO₂-intensive Residuallast die es zu ersetzen gilt. Der Autor macht den Fehler nur auf die Änderungsrate zu schauen, ignoriert aber das die Schweiz eben schon einen gigantischen Vorsprung hat. Die Schweiz ist jetzt schon da, wo Deutschland vielleicht in 10 Jahren sein wird.
