It really is. I feel like everybody who wanted to invest already invested at this point. But if this continues there's not much to gain from holding, but you need to ride the swings, which is really unfortunate. And I hope something happens to pump some new money in.

Done with tomo00#2244, thank you.

I have the quest on EU

Thank you for the answer. They are indeed called "switches" in RPG Maker though - I just checked. I know a switch is something else, but I was talking about that engine specifically.
Your code definitely helps, but it does something different than what I originally intended with mine, since I didn't want to check which NPC I am dealing with but the dialogue that specific NPC should say. "dialogueList" would be a list consisting of integer values that correspond to states that NPC can be in.
So dialogueList[5] would return a 0 for the initial state, a 1 for the second state and so on. I decide what this does in the NPC object itself. I just use the persistent object to remember this list, so the NPCs can always access their state through there.
Of course I can use enums here as well in a way, but as far as I see it that would just make me write more than I need.

I think I understand what you're saying. The problem with storing the information on the objects themselves is that every GameObject gets destroyed when you switch a scene (except for the DontDestroyOnLoad objects).
That means if I change any variable at all on a NPC itself, leave the map and come back, the NPC will be reset to its initial state.
As you said it's extremely expensive to GameObject.Find something. And I'm not even sure if it works like this. I haven't tried it yet but as far as I know when an Object is spawned it is reset to its initial state. And this Object doesn't exist outside of the scene, does it? So you're basically saying I should modify the asset itself? That seems a bit harsh.
MESRecords
I agree with the other poster that this is an excellent idea. Thank you!
So for smaller things it seems to be reasonable to keep these lists. For example opened chests that should stay opened for the rest of the game. But the plot system you described sounds really, really useful.

There's much more stuff to read so you can get into character better. In the base game it's basically just 'I'm on this island, I need to survive, so I'm doing this and this'. The themes make sense and tell a story, but it's not like it's actually heavy on the narration itself.
In the expansion you have this little booklet here: https://i.ytimg.com/vi/4jm2lcxm6-Q/maxresdefault.jpg
This really helps with immersion. It really feels like you're living through the story of the book.

This is out already? I'm still waiting for Under The Pyramids coming out in German. They are really taking their time here.

Mage Wars might be what you're looking for. It heavily encourages being played with the same 2 people every time. It's very, very difficult to teach to new players though.
You essentially have a pre-prepared deck of cards (can be customized as you like) from which you can take out any card you want every turn. If you're prone to analysis paralysis this is certainly not the game for you. But if you have someone who wants to get invested with you, it's perfect.
And my standard answer for more heavy games: Eldritch Horror, Descent 2nd Edition, Imperial Assault.
MESRecords
You should take a look at Robinson Crusoe. Not much flavor text here but it's very thematic. In the first scenario for example you're trying to get wood to build a bonfire so that you can get rescued. The expansion tells a richer story. You essentially play The Voyage of the Beagle by Charles Darwin.
MESRecords
Similar in what regard? You didn't mention the traitor mechanic but the depth and complexity. So I'll just suggest Eldritch Horror, Descent 2nd Edition and Rubinson Crusoe.
MESRecords
Seconded Descent, but wouldn't recommend Arcadia Quest here. I love the game but if the art style of SDE is already a turn-off then Arcadia Quest will be the same.
MESRecords
Seconding Mage Knight and Robinson Crusoe. Mage Knight only if you want to spend a lot of time on it though. It can be pretty difficult to get the hang of it and the setup takes quite a while. It's also much more expensive, which is why I'd recommend Robinson Crusoe first if that's a problem.
MESRecords
If it really becomes a problem and you're regularly out in bars or similar places you could tell the group jokingly that whenever someone is caught cheating he or she has to pay the next round for everyone.
If you're at home something similar might work.

Are you looking for co-op games specifically? I'll divide the games into two categories just in case:
Co-op:
- Legends of Andor (in essence a very light dungeon crawler, perfect gateway for that type of game)
- Pandemic + On The Brink expansion (possibly one of the best and most accessible co-op games ever created)
- Arcadia Quest (very light dungeon crawler with a cute anime theme, can be played PvP or PvE)
- (Dead of Winter) (don't know how violent the game can be, but there are rules for taking out the 'gory' cards - basically zombie survival and perfect blend between co-op game and social deduction since there can be a traitor in every game)
Versus:
- King of Tokyo or King of New York (Tokyo is lighter, New York is more 'gamey', an essential game to have in my opinion)
- Star Realms (only 2 players, need two of them or the expansion for 4, but it's best with two)
- Five Tribes (Just a great game in general that scales pretty well with player number)
Most of these are generally good games for all age groups in my opinion. But if you specifically want things that were made with families in mind I think Pandemic, King of Tokyo and Five Tribes are the most accessible ones.
MESRecords
I actually haven't played it yet, but it looks fun.
MESRecords
Do you have any more information about the theme? If it's a comical game I think you mean Epic Spell Wars.
MESRecords
This looks really cool so far. I love Myst and the best thing about BioShock Infinite was the whole design of the city for me. This seems to follow that design, so thumbs up from me.
MESRecords
Thanks for letting me know, I love Manaphy. Just wish I hadn't missed some of the earlier ones like Mew.

Okay, after playing for a while returning to Reddit everything is flashing before my eyes. Weird.
I'm getting pretty motion-sick by playing this, but it's neither the speed nor the flashing colors. It's those camera movements that make everything shake a bit.
I don't think I could play this for long, but good god, the artwork is amazing. Everything looks really clean and polished. So thumbs up for that.
Might I suggest an alternative camera? One that's not shaking so much maybe.

You need to make your music 'flow' more. Everything sounds too hacky and random.
Do you have a decent background in music theory? If you don't, I'm sorry to say that this should be your first stop. Learn about harmonies, song structure and progressions. These are what's missing in your songs.
I take it you're using Guitar Pro? Sounds like it. Try to get your bass and drums separated. Your bass always seems to play the same notes as the drums do. And if it doesn't do that it plays the same notes as some of the other instruments. Learn about drumming patterns and don't try to put every note on a drum beat. Sounds pretty unnatural if you do that.
MESRecords
Having the exact same problem. I know how to program behavior... but I don't know how to program a full game that goes beyond just a single level with a single gameplay mechanic because the tutorials always stop at explaining how to create something worthwhile.
MESRecords
I wish there was a store for stuff like this near me. It's pretty hard to get your hands on figures like this one in Germany.
Zelos#1648 EU 80g quest, you go first.
