AH-64 has a much slower firing autocannon. If this is an AH-6 Little Bird I think they have 2x .50cal miniguns and rocket tubes that would probably engage at pretty close range like what's seen here. I can't say for sure what's shooting, though

My oldest is my Jackson DKMGT, fairly sure it’s a 2006 model and I’ve had it since 2008. I was 17 or 18 years old at the time, I just forget exactly when I got it. I sold off several guitars around three years ago and kept this one as my only electric. I only recently bought another electric which is a very similar guitar (a DXMGT) but the DK is my main.
It was bought used off EBay for $475 and it’s as close to my ideal guitar spec as I’ve ever had. Super comfortable neck, tune-o-matic style fixed bridge (never been a Floyd guy and I don’t like Evertunes or anything that locks) and I have yet to play a pickup I like more than the EMG 81, which is the stock bridge pickup in this guitar.
I just love it more and more each year and there’s no way I’m selling it.
MMGeoff
Which one?
MMGeoff
The EMG 81 is still my favourite pickup. I don’t really know what cleans are, all I play is Satan music. Nothing else I’ve tried has the clarity, tightness, and immediate response, plus those cold and robotic looks are great too.
I’ve liked some passives too, like the absolutely thermonuclear DiMarzio X2N and alnico humbuckers have fun dynamics but when I want to be going balls-out, which is always, I still like EMGs the most.

Probably a tune-o-matic style, ideally string through body, no stop tail unless it’s a Les Paul style/vibe of guitar. I like the break angle it provides, I just find that comfortable to play on. Aesthetically it’s also my favourite design by far.

Assuming you’ve got a smartphone, you can forgo the tuner since you can get a free tuner app that will be good enough to start with.
If there’s a cheaper instrument cable (what you plug into your guitar and amp) pick that up instead, there’s really not much reason to spend a ton on one especially if you’re just starting out.
The guitar should be a good enough choice, the HSS configuration should work well for what you want.
The amp is an unpopular one on here but IMO it’s perfectly fine and should sound good as your skills develop. When you’re a beginner, you’ll still sound bad even if you’re playing through something that costs thousands of pounds. The MG is simple to use and I think they’re fine. If you can try out an Orange Crush series amp, maybe consider that but again I think your current choice will work well.

We’ll help you pack.

You're not going to get a tone that sounds exactly like what you'd hear on record, obviously that's produced in a studio, at least double-tracked and there's a bass guitar and kick drum filling out the low end, particularly the chuggy stuff like KsE.
The sort of general advice is to keep your gain as low as you can. Usually the more gain you add, the less defined things become. Mine is hardly ever above 9 o'clock on my amp (5150 Iconic). Keep your midrange fairly boosted. Bass should be kept as low as you can get away with as well, just keep enough there so your tone doesn't sound completely cold, and you just want enough treble so you have a clear attack but nothing harsh or "ice-picky." Overall your tone will probably sound a bit thinner than what you might want but once it's sitting in a mix it sounds correct. You've probably noticed in metal recordings, the rare time you hear an isolated guitar it probably sounds pretty thin and even a bit scratchy.
I'm no authority on recording, but basically everything I've happened to watch/read encourages you to do a low frequency cut which you can do on your Katana with the tone editor. Studio Rats has a bunch of videos about the Katana including how to dial in high gain.
this guy has KsE covers on YouTube and he's even using the same or a very similar Zoom pedal you have if you wanted a reference.
Here's Rabea Masaad on dialing in high gain with single coil pickups
edit: this short uses your amp and provides specific settings. He's playing some big chords too and you can still hear the note definition, sounds decent to me.
Hopefully something here is useful for you!

Get out, you’re not helping anything.

Can't really tell from the picture. Your neck could be TOO straight which will cause the strings to buzz. Every neck needs a little bit of relief to give the strings room to vibrate. Your truss rod adjustment, how the nut is filed, the evenness/unevenness of your frets, and your saddles will all affect string action and are all things a tech might adjust if your strings are buzzing.

I mean I've HAD the most B.C. Rich guitars - my first was a Bronze Warlock that was honestly fine. I was a big Slayer fanboy as a teenager in 2004. Years later I ended up buying some old Warlock with an inline headstock and a weird tremolo system on it. I have no idea what model it was but it was dirt cheap and I had fantasies of fixing it up - the thing was busted, frets worn, super high action, not good. It sat in a cardboard box under the stairs at my parents' place until my dad demanded I got rid of it. My third B.C. Rich was a Mockingbird MkIII that I bought as my "Les Paul" type guitar in like 2018. That ended up developing a crack in the neck joint and I sold it a couple years ago for $150.
I INTEND my most-owned brand to be Jackson. I have an MIJ DKMGT Dinky from 2006 or 2007 and I can easily see myself getting a couple more MIJ Jacksons. I have my eye on the MJ DKR Dinky and I'm sure the Soloist in the MJ lineup is pretty nice too.
MMGeoff
On behalf of taxpayers everywhere, fuck you up the ass six ways to Saturday, OP.

If we want to count used instruments, my MIJ Jackson DKMGT Dinky that I've had since I was 17 is definitely it. Got it for $475 on Ebay back in 2007, lightly used. Came stock with EMG 81/85 and a really comfortable TOM-style bridge. Most comfortable neck I've ever played on. Bound fretboard, no issues with the frets whatsoever which is my #1 thing that spoils a guitar. Reverse headstock, transparent black finish with a flame maple top. It plays itself compared to my Ibanez RG7421. I think I'd probably be in for at least $1500-$2000 for a new guitar of comparable quality and specs.
I saw the tech death metal band Origin play in my hometown a few months before and their guitarist had an MG-series Warrior in the same finish and I thought it was really cool. When I saw this one on Ebay I RUSHED downstairs to plead with my dad to buy it, fortunately for me it was close to graduation and he went splits with me on it.
This is why you always, always, always scope out the used market before buying new.
MMGeoff
jesus what a fucking dick move. A 'friend,' indeed.
MMGeoff
It took me a long time to get it and it takes a ton of failed attempts.
The basic principle is that you're picking a note and creating a natural harmonic at the same time. You're doing that by picking and then allowing a bit of the side of your thumb to graze the string. There are "sweet spots" on your string so if you intend to play a pinch harmonic on a particular note, you'll need to experiment to find where that spot is on the corresponding string. This guy giving the lesson does exactly what I do.
edit: Initially I thought there had to be some flick of the wrist kind of thing going on, or I had to have my hand angled a certain way - nope. Also, you don't need piles of distortion for clear pinch harmonics. If you're doing the technique correctly, you can do them on an acoustic guitar. Gain just helps them sustain a lot easier. You don't even need to choke up on your pick, just keep whatever amount of the tip of the pick sticking out as you currently do and you're probably OK.

I try to avoid using the word "woke" as much as possible because I feel using it in earnest just feeds into the notion that "wokeism" represents this new scourge of leftism that is destroying the West as we know it, where the reality as far as I see it is that the basic character of anti-leftism hasn't substantially changed in probably 100 years, at least. That's an entirely arbitrary number.
It's pretty typical of the right to rehash the same ideas in new language - language that is often appropriated from the left, to try to garner new generations of support. "Woke" as a term referring to an awareness of oppression came from the black community in the 1920s as far as I'm aware and it got a bigger surge of popularity from the radical left in the "civil rights era."
Folks complaining about Hollywood being too liberal (and Jewish) is as old as Hollywood itself. It didn't suddenly "go woke" as soon as a black girl was cast to play the Little Mermaid.
Feminists were smeared as man-hating harpies back in the early 1900s just as they still are today.
Everyone wants to think, "well MY era of backlash is obviously correct, back in the day black people were just trying to get equal rights, nowadays they're going for outright black supremacy! They want whites to relinquish their property!" while being seemingly unaware that the conservative right were saying the same exact things about MLK Jr. as they're saying now about BLM.
They've always painted the LGBT community as a bunch of perverse child molesters. The language changes, the basic idea behind it all doesn't.
So rather than using the language of "woke," and thus buying into their little game, I prefer to simply use the terminology used by those who are invested in addressing social problems, not what Fox News talking heads say. it's nothing complicated.
MMGeoff
he's a real white power bottom
MMGeoff
"these BLM libtards are just burning down their own communities, I don't see how that's helping. Anyway, time to burn down a church to protect Christian values"
MMGeoff
The Christian right in the US is just a white power movement so IMO it tracks just fine. Truth is absolutely irrelevant to the fascist.
MMGeoff
Exactly, it's almost like defending homophobia by saying "I don't mean gay as in GAY, I mean this thing is just stupid, it has nothing to do with sexuality."
MMGeoff
what's the gene for the fish part
MMGeoff
I think it's referencing Black Lives Matter with the text format. The specific message though, "Still We Fight" refers to the long history of black civil rights and anti-racism in the US. It's like Monet was saying "from Harriet Tubman to the Black Panthers to this very day, we still fight."
MMGeoff
Yup, this is it. It's intended to bog you down and encourage you to waste your time going through every single point they make and they won't be (in theory) satisfied until you've refuted EVERYTHING - even then they'll just move the goalposts - usually such comments are huge copy/pastes that they have prepared for whatever subject they like arguing about online.
It's supposed to give the impression that there's a huge body of evidence supporting a point of view, and that the person doing the gallop is extremely well-versed in the subject.
Since online debating is not a truth seeking activity, it's a performance put on for those who already agree and for those who are undecided AND to make you feel stupid, it's generally best to just not engage with people who do this.
It’s a term that’s been around for a long time but has emerged into mainstream discussion only fairly recently.
It refers to the “ecosystem” of masculinity-oriented content and spaces. Used to be discussion forums, image boards, the “pick up artist community” dating advice sites geared to young men, penis enlargement communities, self-help books, etc. Nowadays it’s largely social-media based and podcasts of course are also a huge part of the manosphere.
It’s marketed to young men and boys, packaged as self-help, more or less, but it always pushes a right wing political agenda of traditional gender roles, antifeminism, and the overall idea that men ought to be dominant over women.
