The problem is because the earbud is still connected to your phone and didn't turn off, all because it doesn't make good contact with the metal pad inside the case. I fixed it with a needle, pulling it out the pad a bit, ensuring a good contact, this can solve the problem that the bud didn´t charge sometimes.
