Yeah, I really don’t want to have to cover my islands in any more lavender lol

MagicCuboid

Good for you!! I love reading a happy ending, and people need to hear sometimes that where you are is not necessarily better than where you could be

MagicCuboid

Constipation. No shitting.
Don’t give a fuck if my asshole starts bleeding!

MagicCuboid

He loves the uneducated.

We have been voting back and forth to tear it all down since 2008, we know there are flaws in the system. The problem is we’re not willing to be uncomfortable enough to actually achieve meaningful changes, not helped by the fact we have an ancient set of laws designed to prevent meaningful change from occurring.

Again, Biden approved of all kinds of international partnerships with the UK and Nordic countries to develop green energy infrastructure along the coast. Just stop, they’re not the same.

MagicCuboid

You do realize defunding all of Obama’s public investment in solar and other green energy was the first thing Trump did, right? And then the very first bill that passed Biden’s congress was the the IRA which was mostly about funding green energy initiatives? Republicans were screaming about how “government shouldn’t pick winners!!”

And then Trump came back and cancelled all the wind farms etc that were approved and paid for.

MagicCuboid

Yeah Baker just let everything go to shit, and once we started to catch on he left.

MagicCuboid

If it doesn’t get your question just explain what you didn’t like about its response and ask one more clarifying question and it usually snaps out of its initial programming. My guess is initial prompts use a lower level/less energy intensive model and follow-up questions call more resources

MagicCuboid

Maybe inventory was limited enough that they didn’t want just anyone using the 64 mb cartridge? If the price difference was negligible people might have just optimized less and took the larger size

MagicCuboid

Yes, I like duvets! My parents have one. You’re absolutely right about fitted sheets being the elastic cover. Can you imagine not having one of those and just sleeping on loose sheets???

MagicCuboid

We are so far from the days of FDR saying “I welcome their hatred,” it’s not even funny

MagicCuboid

Yay, thank you! This will be a great resource

MagicCuboid

Oh, when I think of fitted sheets, I think of the practice of tucking sheets under the mattress around the bed like they always do in hotels. Do you just mean having bedding that is big enough to cover the bed?

MagicCuboid

Wow the Batman mug has really gained weight since the 90s

MagicCuboid

Take this with a grain of salt, because I’m a male teacher and I’m told that’s supposed to be rare too. But I could see if you’re interested in two professions, and your perception is that one is all male and the other is all female, you might be more inclined to pursue the one that fits your perception.

That’s a bit of an exaggeration, but I don’t think our decisions are made entirely in the vacuum of “this is what I want to do and nothing else.” People can be equally happy in different pursuits and subtly steered one way or the other through extraneous or cultural factors.

“Offices are like High School” and also any other semi-shared social space, is the thing. Not everything about high school is juvenile, some of it is just our one and only introduction to human nature when we’re actually forced to live somewhat tribally.

MagicCuboid

As a tall person whose legs hang off the end of any bed, fitted sheets are my natural enemy

MagicCuboid

It’s really annoying honestly. We have a high cost of living but our taxes are actually really low, and the boomers who remember the 80s consistently ensure our budget is insufficient to meet the Commonwealth’s needs

MagicCuboid

It’s rarer than you’d hope but it does exist!

MagicCuboid

No one gives a shit if it’s 60 or 67 because NO ONE SAID IT HAS A CHANCE OF HAPPENING holy shit

MagicCuboid

My first thought was Griffin McElroy picked up some l33t skills!

MagicCuboid

Yeah, and scenes are constantly being rewritten as the level design, game features, etc. all change.

It was really interesting watching the Double Fine documentary, because Tim Schafer's role as studio lead and head writer showed how difficult it can be to develop a game according to a script, rather than what is typically the reverse (developing a script to suit a game).

MagicCuboid

oh lmao I get it now. I'm sorry, I'm up past my (early) bedtime

MagicCuboid

Lots of Millennials were born before 1990 (like me).
