I induced this problem by pulling the fuse for keyless entry (was trying to fit a fuse tap for a dashcam). My car doesn't have keyless entry but it turns out that circuit still does something for the key. My advice is check that fuse isn't loose or something.

That is a fantastically big book. So much room for words. 10/10 books of Lorgar.
MagicSuperman
That's really good

If you don't have an account, or perhaps paid membership with the relevant app, it's wild money.

Public chargers are laughably expensive, sorry in advance.

I used auto trader to sell my polo. It was pretty quick (couple of days) but probably in part because I had a good look at what similar cars (model, year, mileage) were selling at - both here and in GB - and priced mine to slightly undercut the locals.

As I said, real crimes.

We have famously stripped citizenship from Shamima Begum, who was even born and raised in the UK. Albeit, in response to real, not fictitious crimes.

It's definitely AI. Full of trite negative parallelisms "that is not a sustainable business model, that is expensive panic". I.e. the classic "it's not x, it's y" pattern that LLMs love. You can spot an AI one from a human written one when the parallel it's drawing is totally vacuous and adds no real insight.
The fact that that this article contains the assumption that the year is 2024 is simply evidence that the slop output wasnt even reviewed by an editor before publishing. The fidelity of the content is not a concern at all, it exists purely to generate engagement.

Try it slower - less drag
MagicSuperman
Mine did this for the first time today as well. Don't know what sign it thinks it saw - we were on a 50mph road. The speed limit changer thing (can't remember what it's called) is the one driver assist feature I turn off (and it does stay off) - the rest are very unobtrusive and I'd rather stay in control of the max speed of the car while ACC is on.

I saw the most recent batman in there and it was grim. First scene with the riddler POV looking through his telescope or whatever they decide that the chairs should sway around in time with him looking around. Boom instant motion sickness. And we were just thrown around after that. I'm a reasonably fit young-ish guy and my lower back was in bits for days.

You mean the lack of it is why they're full of piss and shit

Evil goo, of course

It's such a tough build! I also stabbed myself a bunch.
MagicSuperman
Thank you! It's just very dark green at the top, and very bright flouo green at the bottom (white undercoat for the flouo), then blended out with various mixes including a mid-tone green.

Totally get it!

If you have a well ventilated spray booth and a mask, lacquer based primers are the way to go. Hard, strong, don't scratch off and ready to paint on after like 5m. Mr Hobby 1500 surfacer is fantastic. But pure poison, so take the first part of this comment seriously.
MagicSuperman
Conditions have to be just right - not too hot or cold, not too dry or humid, not too close or far away, not shaken enough, spraying too much at once etc. The risk is an awful looking finish - it can go ultra glossy or look like the mini is covered in crystals and can be really hard to fix, if you even can.
MagicSuperman
I highly recommend using an airbrush to varnish your minis rather than a spray can. I know that's easy to say, they are (or can be) expensive, but the risks of varnishing from a can are so high as to not be worth it. You could ruin years of your own hard work. I wouldn't even consider using a spray can - I'd rather not varnish at all.

The leg looks really good. Would you mind sharing what steps you did between the before and after pics please? I can see there is some really high value patches there but I almost don't trust my eyes to tell me if it's actual white paint or not.

I'm beginning to doubt you're arguing in good faith here, given your outright refusal to understand the point:
If AI were going to solve climate change, then we should support building some number of datacentres. But since it is not, and is in fact going to make it far worse, we shouldn't.
The question of what AI is used for IS relevant to this. As an informed population, we can choose whether we facilitate destructive projects like datacentres, on the balance of their outcomes being beneficial to us in the long run. We can decide if we want higher electricity bills, higher temperatures, increased fossil fuel use, for a while, because AI will eventually - we imagine - enable us to scale back on those things. But that is not what AI is being used for, by volume. It is self evidently not. Look around at the marketplace, look online - every bit of software has AI in it. People are using extremely resource-intensive services it for the most trivial applications everywhere you look.
The sacrifices that people who live near datacentres are being asked to make are substantial, and will bring them no benefit. And in that mythical timeline where AI invents a technology that makes fossil fuel emissions totally obsolete, it will still take years or decades of political struggle to get it implemented everywhere - by which time we will be well and truly cooked from the carbon emissions to that point. Societies going all-in with AI and datacentres are committing to a planetary death spiral.
MagicSuperman
They aren't unrelated. You said:
Okay but would you at least agree that if AI meaningfully increased our chances of delivering nuclear fusion, or even robotics that allowed the construction of nuclear generation facilities extremely cost effectively, this would be a solution to climate change if we adopted broad electrification along side that? Even if you personally think that's unlikely.
If this is what AI was even mostly used for, I'd be with you. Let's make THOSE datacentres a national priority. However, by volume, it's mostly used for pointless crap. That's my opinion of course, but weighing 99% of AI use against the 1% that has a small chance to marginally improve the prospect for climate... it isn't worth it.
Magnificent 'stache. Love the overall colour scheme as well!
