I love the relatively open set design of this house because it allows the incredible cast to add to the vibe even more just by walking around in character as they go to their different spots to scare from

Magmorix

I don’t think Singapore has Ozzy

Magmorix

I’d definitely mention that if they’d done Hiccup’s and were asking about Hagrid’s, but since its the other way around, I was thinking about how intense the launches and turns and stuff feel, since that’s more applicable to both rides

Magmorix

Man I’m so glad we got what we got, then. They did awesome work with the KUKA arms in there

Magmorix

I’ll include honorable mentions for each one as well

End of Silence: Lost (Breathe Into Me, Let Go)

Innocence & Instinct: Take it All Away (Fight Inside, Ordinary World)

Until We Have Faces: Lie to Me (Faceless, Buried Beneath)

Release the Panic: Love Will Leave a Mark (Hold Me Now, Run and Escape)

Of Beauty and Rage: Shadow and Soul (Gravity Lies, Part That’s Holding On) (this one changes most often though)

Gone: Singularity (Fracture, AI)

Declaration: Sever (Cauterize, The Evening Hate)

Rated R: Minus it All (Our Time Will Come, The Suffering)

Magmorix

Intensity-wise I’d say Hiccup’s is very comparable to Hagrid’s.

DK isn’t very intense imo, but its unique gimmick is definitely something that could catch you off guard.

Monsters Unchained is a bit difficult to give an objective rating on. It moves a lot, but the movement is very smooth. Have you been on Forbidden Journey at Islands of Adventure? It’s the same kind of ride vehicle, just a much nicer feeling version. Its movements are more dramatic than on FJ, but much less rough.

Magmorix

I definitely remember hearing that, because I remember some discussion about if the team at Mythos would be transferred back once the retheme was complete, but it’s possible that just means another nice restaurant is going in the same exact spot.

I’m not sure how the building was made so I might be off here, but I wouldn’t be that surprised if removing just the rock work would be more difficult than tearing the whole thing down and rebuilding it

Magmorix

Btw while tinnitus is often the result of permanent hearing damage, that isn’t always the case! It’d be worth looking into if you have any ear or jaw conditions causing strain in the area, or anything like that

Magmorix

I feel like the older you both are the less weird it is, like I’d honestly probably say a 30 year old and 40 year old together is less weird than a 23 year old and a 19 year old

That being said, personally, while I’m in my twenties, I don’t think I’m interested in dating someone more than 3 years younger or older than me, and I’m not sure I’d ever want to be with someone more than like 5 years away from me.

Magmorix

Also they sell Smoke and Stack hats in the park, so they’re definitely expecting people to have them

Magmorix

And even then I saw a Remmick absolutely covered in blood

Not saying I’d recommend trying that though

Magmorix

It’s a night with much lower capacity, which along with just making for a more chill experience, allows them to let groups into the house one at a time, instead of in a constant chain. I believe most food is also included in the ticket price, though I’m not sure if the selections are limited because of that.

It’s like $400 per person though

Magmorix

I never buy super expensive single figures like this but that’s probably gonna have to change

Magmorix

It’s beautiful

Magmorix

I really, really love the character design for the bots, and I thought it overall had a delightfully intense vibe. I felt much more pulled into the moment than in most hhn houses.

However, I can also say it’s kinda one-note, both in scenery and scares. It just happens to be a note that got me real good.

Magmorix

One of my favorite Opeth intros, and the way it transitions from Continuum is incredible. This is one of the songs that took them from “band I think is cool” to “one of my favorite bands”

I personally like the English version more, especially with how he sings the first verse. The sudden burst of “dead within a dream!” is great, too. The translations of some lines like “I am you, you am I” or “is it worth to turn back home again” are slightly awkward but I still think they work well.

Magmorix

Hmm, that’s a fair point

Magmorix

I feel like his films are atmospheric enough that they’d deserve a whole house. I don’t know that jumping from one to another would work well

Magmorix

I’m so sorry for you guys over there if Orlando’s somehow looked better… it might be the weakest house I’ve ever been through

Magmorix

I’m fairly certain it’s only in Florida, unfortunately.

However, you could probably order it straight from them, instead of dealing with resellers. Even if it isn’t on their website, if you call, they might be able to send one to you!

Magmorix

It looks insane!!

I’ve been wanting to try doing this… didn’t know someone had made a pattern, I thought I’d be working from scratch. Thanks for sharing!!!!!

Edit: looking at their page, it was a generic helmet pattern your modifying to make the mask, isn’t it

Magmorix

I was just listening to the version of The Sound off of this earlier today

I really, really, really love the iTunes session version of Learning to Breathe. I don’t really listen to the studio version anymore because I think this one’s just so much cooler. The extended intro is very nice, too.

Magmorix

At D23 they said they’re planning to open the rest of the land next summer, right? I’d imagine they wouldn’t want it open without its signature attraction for long, so hopefully them saying that means they actually think it’ll be opening in a timely manner

Magmorix

In CityWalk (the hub area before you enter Studios or Islands of Adventure), there’s a club on the second level called the Red Coconut Club that gets a Halloween overlay. There are multiple different bars that each have exclusive seasonal cocktails, and imo they’re much better than any drinks sold in the park itself (at least among HHN offerings). It’s often very loud in there, though (like loud enough I’d recommend earplugs— they often have a live band doing rock covers)

The Cosmic Crunch pb&j thing at the booth outside was also very tasty, though it’s definitely a weird flavor combo

Magmorix

As someone who’s done that last plan, it’s great! If you haven’t gotten to all the houses yet, it’s risky, but it is definitely a great compromise if missing something isn’t a concern
