Book slots into the 5th spot after the 4 I mentioned. He’s better off-ball and he’s better at hitting shots when he isn’t consistently shooting. Ant needs some momentum to really shine, but Book is so mechanically sound that he’s money even when he’s cold.

People might rag on Ant for some turnovers in this game but everybody else was getting smothered, too. I don’t think he played bad, but if you’re Kerr you have to play Curry/Lebron/Durant/AD as much as possible this game.

You really don’t think the playcall was to get KD in iso? He got screened, passed to Ant, and was supposed to get the ball back

It’s literally hindsight. Tatum had been terrible in a lot of their other games while Ant had been phenomenal. The coaches literally did exactly the right thing, which was to put in the players they thought gave them the best chance, then change the lineups afterwards based on how they looked. Ant didn’t look good, so they put him back on the bench. The lineup they put out there came back by like 13 in one quarter.

Tatum could have been all the way down in Antarctica for this game and nobody would have cared except people who haven’t been paying attention to how lackluster his entire tournament has been.

Saying Ant needed to not play is hindsight. He was shooting like 60/50 in the other games. Yeah, he had a few bad turnovers and gambles in this game, which is why he got pulled for a good portion of the game.

Given the way the game played out, I don’t understand the criticism of the coaching staff. They put in the right players to get the win.

So he’s either trying to make everyone else just as miserable as he is, or he’s trying to chase the tiny doses of brain chemicals he gets by trolling online. Either way, he’s not stupid, just evil and sad.

There is literally nobody better for him to be around than Spoelstra and Lebron for that. Sometimes you gotta fuck up before you can learn the right way. I’m confident he’ll have a lot to take away from this type of game with the coaches and players around him.
