IDK. With these computer generated proofs I feel like the people in the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, where they asked the computer Deep Thought to give them the answer to life, the universe and the rest and the computer told them "The answer is 42"
Basically we have now a black box that tells you True/False, but not WHY it is the case.
Most of these proofs are hard to decipher and similar with slop code: Yes it works, but good code is something different. Edit: ... and no one is ever to find out what happened when the bug hits.

This doesn't necessarily the end tho.
If the big players only sell to other big players it could be a chance for startups to fill the niche of consumer hardware as this market would be completely void of supply then.
We need more competition in this field anyway.

The biggest irony is that Orwell worked for the BBC and disliked it because it was propaganda work.
The reason that kept him going was despite his moral qualms he knew that the Nazis needed to be stopped. For him it was a deal with the devil.

Yeah and it shows why we have to keep our democratic institutions working.
Karl Popper said it well: The best system is not the one that tries to do the best, that always fails because the world is complex, but the system that prevents the worst outcome, where institutions watch each other and there are mechanisms to course correct like elections.

There is actually a solution: Take the lessons learned and create a new Internet for people by people

I am a guy from Austria
Hello fellow Austrian! I found today your game on Steam, looks interesting.
Happy about every dev from Austria and Europe in general. We have great people in that field but too little visibility ...

I wouldn't go with "Gen AI" that is still to broad.
Instead label what was done with AI.
- Spell checking?
- Code checking / debugging?
- Code Writing?
- Art Assets and which (Music, some small gun, all art ..)
- Script Writing?
- ... ?
In my book there is still a huge difference if I just use AI to add some button to a GUI, make some small assets, make the whole art or to make the whole game with AI.
Did I use a commercial one, or a local one with open weights?
There are a lot of layers and AI usage can in fact be responsible.
So there should be a series of tags developers should check. Just using AI or no AI is weird considering a lot of second hand use of AI is quite common as almost all modern tools use AI. Photoshop, Office, Google ...

If you're mercenary everything goes.
But if you want to check if this is an existing scheme check out Camo Specs Online

Correct. Good LLMs write code to do the math and let a "normal" program do the computations.
Mal_Dun
... and that's why, dear kids, writing good specs and requirements is important.

Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat the same mistakes of the past.
Those who know history are doomed to watch others repeat the same mistakes from the past.

No.
WSL: A sandbox with it's own Linux kernel, shell etc.
Wine: A translation layer that translates the WIN32 API so that Windows applications can communicate with the Linux kernel.
The name is WINE = "WINE is not an Emulator" for a reason.

Where it actually makes sense to run on your own hardware is anyone dealing with cyber security
Not only security. Privacy and secrecy as well. In my job I do consulting from time to time. Most people who ask about local LLMs have to handle sensitive data and everyone knows you can't trust big tech with that.

Had a friend who said that I am stupid for being a humanitarian and not going STEM.
My friend went to study programming in 2022.
I honestly find it funny that many people from the humanities lump all STEM people together, when by my experience there is a huge difference between the techies and engineers vs the natural sciences and mathematics, and to be frank I found the techies just as annoying as you which whom I had to do several courses together.
Basically people who can't understand there is value in human advancement of knowledge and outside product development and think they are god because they can write some working lines of code (which any idiot can learn if they put their mind to it)
The hubris stems from the perceived marketability of your skill and believe me that for some folk from theoretical physics or abstract Algebra the job market is just as dire (if not more) as for many humanities people. There is simply a different mindset between someone who wants to understand the world vs someone who just collects knowledge to do a well paying job. People from humanities are mostly former group, but so are scientists too.
The only people more annoying are the finance guys (MBAs) who will tell you that the only useful thing mathematics ever produces is the Nash equilibrium and that people in STEM are also just a resource to exploited while they sit in management position and rake in the money (which often leads to a rude awakening when they aren't lol)

It always was the same woke what really changed was social media shoving you the loud minority into the face and making you believe the SJW run the show. There was a leaked study done by META that identified hate being the emotion that gets the most engagement and now make an educated guess how the algorithms work.
And if you believe that series like Star Trek, considering the time it aired, didn't had a lot of shit to deal with with a black women, a Russian and a Japanese on the bridge you would be mistaken.
But there wasn't a 24/7 stream of Reddit memes, youtubers and TikTok influencers hammering a message home that there is some woke agenda cherry picking some idiotic SJWs. Most normal people don't give a fuck about either extreme but enjoyed the vision of a future where humanity overcame its petty problems.
But the machine needs to be fed

Sorry, I started getting bitter over time because people often tend to put insane price tags on collector editions so the only advice I can give is "don't buy"

I love putting vehicles on the table.
I often play narrative campaigns and it is fun seeing the player group going in with confidence with their mechs against tanks and 10 min later shitting their pants when the Demolisher shoots its dual AC20 and a Shrek it's tripple PPC lol.
They are also fun in city settings where they get bonus to movement and rotating towers.

Well maybe don't buy it then and get a regular edition or the PDF?

When you study your history book
Meanwhile actual historians: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C9D7lmkqO3I
Ofc a book written by nationalists will promote the world view that this was always the case, but history is full of examples that show that nationalism as we know it today is very young.
My own home country is one of the best examples: We were several ethnicities united under one ruler house. Till the 15 century the Carinthian nobility was Slovene before Germanification kicked in.
Before the modern state was defined by its people it was defined by it's sovereign ruler and it was not uncommon for those to collect ethnicities like others collect pokemon... there was also no German nation for a very long time. It was a collection of German tribes, Italians, Slovenes and Czechs.
Btw. Franz Joseph I of Austria had the full title before the empire fell apart was:
Franz Joseph the First, by the Grace of God Emperor of Austria, Apostolic King of Hungary, King of Bohemia, King of Lombardy and Venetia, of Dalmatia, Croatia, Slavonia, Galicia, Lodomeria and Illyria; King of Jerusalem, etc.; Archduke of Austria; Grand Duke of Tuscany and Krakow; Duke of Lorraine, of Salzburg, Styria, Carinthia, Carniola and Bukovina; Grand Duke of Transylvania; Margrave of Moravia; Duke of Upper and Lower Silesia, of Modena, Parma, Piacenza and Guastalla, of Auschwitz and Zator, of Teschen, Friuli, Ragusa and Zara; Princely Count of Habsburg and Tyrol, Kyburg, Görz and Gradisca; Prince of Trent and Brixen; Margrave of Upper and Lower Lusatia and in Istria; Count of Hohenembs, Feldkirch, Bregenz, Sonnenberg, etc.; Lord of Trieste, of Cattaro and on the Windic March; Grand Voivode of the Voivodeship of Serbia, etc., etc."
As an Austrian I have to say this is definitely better than to be annexed by the Prussians.
