Only 52 out of 75 on hazard perception is completely normal, why else would they allow such a big error margin. The assumption is that you will start to get much better at it once you’ve started your practical lessons, they just need to make sure you’re not a complete idiot first.

When the game is overwhelmed with particles, instead of removing existing particles in flight, it will now randomly select for particles to render or not render to stay under the particle limit

I can't lie, this sounds kind of vague, how is 'overwhelmed with particles' operationalized? is it FPS? but then how do you know particles are the culprit of the low FPS and not entities for example. Is it number of particles? but then how do u differentiate between older hardware that struggles with 10 sets of particles and modern hardware that can run hundreds of particles at the same time with no issue. u/sliced_lime could you perhaps shed some light on this?

Even then, with the next gen car his best year was 2022 where he was only 55 points off Elliott (given a full season format), all other years he's been 200+ points off the first place driver in a full season format, including his 2024 championship.

EDIT: Downvote me all you want, I am not even a hater but Joey is not sniffing the top 5 this year, he'll finish in the 8-10 range like he has done the past 3 years on full season points.

Max fan here, watch ya mouth. He might not be as good as Max but he’s not miles away either

Not as a lead commentator I hope because that's really not his forte, but like a trackside analyst would be cool.

EDIT: Thought this was the Indycar sub, but eh my point still stands tho.

This is why I like Piastri. Very mature interview from him on the post-race show. Didn't make the collision with Max more than it needed to be, admitted his mistake in the collision with Colapinto, admitted that everyone just needed the season to end because it was too long, and looking forward to coming back better and stronger next year.

Buxton sucking his dick was disturbing to hear though, I rate Piastri as well but that was a bit over the top.

Least reactionary r/formula1 take

It won't convince them, nothing will. Just like week one of the dudes was calling the people who were hating on the playoffs format twitter bots, even though a literal series champion was one of the people complaining. The playoffs are here to stay, as much as they suck ass
