The Pro 2 has incredibly shitty stick sensors though, about 40 steps total. That is about 10% the stick resolution of a normal Xbox One controller. It's abysmally bad.

The Pro 3 has almost double the stick resolution of a normal Xbox Controller, just fyi.

As tested by multiple people (and confirmed by me cause I owned the controllers), the sensors on 8bitdo controllers are worse than those found on official Xbox or Switch Pro controllers (which cost about the same) and therefore you should not spend money on them when you can get superior stick sensors elsewhere for the same money.

For the same price you can get many other controllers like the FlyDigi Vader 4 Pro that actually has 12-bit stick resolution. That's way better than an Xbox's 10-bit resolution and way, waaaay better than 8bitdo's sub-8-bit resolution.

It's a known issue. It's real and it exists, and it affects all previous 8bitdo controllers including all four that I bought over the years.

I'm telling you that getting an 8bitdo controller is a terrible deal and nobody should be buying them. The exception is the very latest model, which if you had done the reading you'd know they apparently (after many years) finally addressed the low-resolution issue by putting actual good sensors on the controller.

Good on them, but it's a little too late as there are other controllers in the same price range that still outperform their best controller, not just in stick sensor performance but in features too.

Yet here you are, still arguing that my controllers specifically were faulty and that I could've just gotten a replacement. That would've done absolutely nothing because the sensors 8bitdo uses on those previous controllers are unable to render anything beyond 8-bit resolution. The hardware is literally unable to accurately detect stick movements and no amount of firmware updates or warranty replacements will ever fix this very physical limitation.

Do you understand now? Have I explained the situation thorougly? I swear this is like I'm arguing with a brick wall.

Apparently they finally listened to feedback and drastically improved their sensors on their latest controller, the Ultimate 2.
