Spider-Man is a toss up between super human and supernatural if you accept that he’s the avatar of the great other that grants spidermen across the universe’s their powers.

These charging pads are such a net loss for the car. They’re worthless at charging (I get 1% over 20 minutes), they destroy key fobs if you leave them on chargers, and they’re bulky making less room for your knees.

Mantis_Pantis

If you use an extension cord and crank out the full 1500w, remember to get an extension cord rated for 15amps. Most extension cords are rated for 12amps.

Mantis_Pantis

What spare tire solution do you have? Where do you store it?

Mantis_Pantis

I think you can get the trailseeker for less than 35k with current rebates.

My understanding is that Spider-Man across all realities are celestially linked. Each was granted their powers by a spider totem (the totem being either the spider that bit them or an artifact requiring a ritual like with Ezekiel) and act as the spider avatar. They are all linked by the web of life that links them together. My guess is when they travel via astral projection (like in doctor strange) or their mind taken from them, the web of life gives them the means to crawl back.

My description all applies to power mode.

Mantis_Pantis

The throttle behavior on mine changed after my recall. It became mushy in comparison to prior (in power mode). The throttle behavior seems to have gotten better a month since then. The car feels like it has less punch than when I bought it though. Solterra XT.

I wish you could paint this panel white.

Based off your numbers a full charge would be 242. If you drive a lot of highway at 75mph, you’ll get about 20% less range (this is true of all EVs). I would bet that you do a lot of high way driving, or drive in extreme heat.

If you’re concerned about code (or if there’s going to be a fire), I would call a second electrician. Better yet, it should have been inspected to be permitted. Code is so complicated and changes every few years.

In general downsizing wiring is no bueno, but I suppose so long as the entry to the circuit (such as with a breaker) protects the current so that the amps are above the smallest cable, that’s some peace of mind.

The Chinese government has been bootstrapping the capital, subsidizing and setting up their rules to promote clean energy.

I have it on the solterra. I use it when my cargo area blocks the rear window. Love having it.

Mantis_Pantis

The briefings are odd. Here’s the Solterra 2027: https://media.subaru.com/newsrelease.do?id=2458

They essentially announced everything is going to be the same. The only reason I can think they would do that is to discourage people from waiting in case the following year has better range or charging speed.

Blue pill and seek out my wife to have a second life with her.

Mantis_Pantis

For the AWD Subaru EVs, can you just replace one tire, or do you need to replace all 4 like in their ICE vehicles?

Mantis_Pantis

If I had to guess, to cut costs.

Mantis_Pantis

Looks absolutely beautiful in black. I have the pearl white.

Mantis_Pantis

Seems like apples to oranges. Chevy bolt is fwd, solterra is AWD. You make some sacrifice for AWD (like range). Also, 2023 solterra will have 100kw charging versus bolt 150kw charging. I’m not sure if the bolt comes with super cruise as well.

I would test drive both to see what you feel and determine what you want from the car (basic commuter that is always in warm weather, driving on pavement not dirt roads, if you have a second car, etc)

Mantis_Pantis

I wouldn’t, I would only use level 1 unless you have a dedicated outlet. The electrical system is different in Japan than US as well, so I would contact a Japanese electrician.

I also wouldn’t rely on the car settings to limit the amperage if you try a 200v. My 2026 solterra will automatically reset its charge settings on its own.

Mantis_Pantis

Just a call out but it looks like you’re replacing a 15amp plug with a 20amp plug.

Mantis_Pantis

Amazing. Could you share the dog protector you used?

Mantis_Pantis

That’s great anxiety aside, how was the experience? I have the touring XT as well and I can fit lying down in the back with the seats down , but I need to find something to fill in the gap between the back seats and the front seats. I think Luno has an inflatable cube to fit in that area.

I’m also wondering about using the car for temperature control over night. I’ve heard that it uses 1 to 2 percent per hour, so 8 hours would be upwards of 15%. Looking forward to trying. Love this car a lot so far.

Have you car camped in it?

Old Mount Baldy Trail on AllTrails https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/old-mount-baldy-trail

The dangerous part of c2c is the heat. It’s typical to begin the hike at 1:30am so that you’re at high enough elevation before the sun rises. You should know your expected pace, calorie intake, and water intake per mile. The first 8k feet of c2c are 1k feet per mile. Try a few hikes where you can test your endurance for this grade. Once hikes like Gorgonio and others start to feel easy your good to go.
