44 year old father of 2 here who loves video games and hate sports! I tend to play games that focus on exploration and puzzle solving that have great story, art, & music!

Gris, Neva, Hoa, & The Artful Escape are all excellent side scrolling platformers heavy on story/art & light on violence.

Abzu & AER: Memories of Old are great exploration games ( one underwater, the other flight) that allow you to solve puzzles and discover secrets without combat.

Astroneer & Outer Wilds are great space exploration games are a bit more technical but again light on violence.

I'd be happy to recommend more of these are (or aren't) to your liking!
