Do you care about the lore in League of Legends? (self.leagueoflegends)

Was neat but worse than the main game. While the main game is an 8/10 for me, this dlc is a 7/10. Unspectacular but fun story. The ending felt a bit disappointing in the sense that it didn't feel like a final chapter / closure for this game. Liked the new ship mechanics and new contracts. Got the season pass in sale for around 20€. That's okay value, but 40€ for the amount of content is too high for my taste. Nonetheless, I thoroughly enjoyed my time and hope they'll be able to develop a sequel at some point.

Will he become manbat, batmanman or batmanbat?

What helped me so far (kinda tedious tho): the moment i'm in game, i switch to the very low preset, go in game and wait till the settings/fps adjust accordingly. After that i switch back to the settings i had before and now it runs with nearly double framerate for me.
That way i get 50-60 fps in the Intro Combat Area of the Dlc instead of 20-30.
Tested on rtx3070, 5800x3d
Edit: Easiest way is to select the lowest preset in the launcher and then change it once ingame, otherwise sometimes it didnt work and the fps stayed low.

But do you also care about the stuff that isnt noticeable within a match? For example the background stories of the champs
Marrod232
Yep, i know it'll be heavily influenced by that. I don't expect the casual to care at all for the most part. But for me it's kinda more interesting what the core community thinks about it. =)
Marrod232
Okay, thats weird. Thanks for the explanation!
Marrod232
Yea, i exactly feel like this. I am really looking forward for the upcomcing games that will hopefully show me some new places!
Marrod232
I can get that. I never was into tabletop games but i can see where that can have a huge influence on what u expect / want from games. In "traditional" rpgs i also care about the moral of the characters but i never cared in league. I'll definetly check out shyvs story then. Thanks!
Marrod232
Can u give me a short summary / link, never heard of that before. ^^
Marrod232
Yea, i agree on that. LoL never really transported me the feeling of the universe. The Summoners Rift feels so abstract and uninspired. I think if we would've gotten more maps / mapskins that take place in different regions of the LoL universe i'd be more interested in the world / lore.
Marrod232
Thats interesting. In all the years i've played LoL i probably read 5-10 champ lores. I like thats its there but i also wouldn't mind if it had no lore at all, because within a match i personally barely notice it. Also i never felt like they promoted this rich universe as one of their selling points, its more a nice addition for the hardcore fans. Nonetheless i always liked the cinematic stuff.
Marrod232
Wow! Thanks really interesting to hear, because thats pretty far away from my feeling. I agree that the lore is pretty cool and i always enjoyed their cinematics and i am really looking forward for arcane, but even without the lore i still would play the game, because i got hooked by the gameplay. And i never prefered to play a specific champ based on their lore :D. Any recommendations for must read champ lores?
Marrod232
But did that also had an impact on your opinion about LoL? Would you still have as much fun if the lore would be very shitty but they gameplay itself would be unchanged?
Marrod232
I agree, i'm just having the feeling that LoL has a higher focus on the gameplay within the Design Phase and then later they make up a background story of the character for the hardcore fans to read. In all these years (besides cinematics and some events) i just never had the feeling that LoL Lore had a big spotlight. This might change outside of the game with things like Arcane or some of the upcoming games, but you are barely confronted with the Lore within a match.
TLDR: to some degree some of the champs feel really different for me within the lore and the game itself which gives more a fanfiction vibe than the impression of a coherent universe.
Marrod232
I mean dont get me wrong, i liked those games but the RockSteady games are on another level.
Marrod232
Looks pretty promising so far, i like the more "story" driven approach. Sadly the 1st person mode doesnt seem to work at the moment. :/
Marrod232
Maybe disable the internal graphics chip of the ryzen to make sure Cyberpunk doesnt wants to use that one.

When you click on CP in your gog library there should be something called extras next to the play button. Should be listed somewhere there

I experience fewer crashes since i stopped using the macro keys of my mouse ( and set resolution scale back to 100% but I am not sure whether that had an impact too)
Judging by the historical lows, it's really good value. Unfortunately, I don't really have the time for games like persona anymore. Other games aren't really interesting to me. Reminds me of the Nioh 2 Choice where the headliner alone justified the purchase
