In answer to 4, he could maybe have married into another farming family and lived on their farm. If I'm remembering right, was that what Fred did (who married Diana), I don't think the Barry farm had a son?
Marzipan_civil
No, I don't think that's true. Most Irish people like celebrating success - as long as the successful person is a reasonable human being.

Pre clearance isn't airport security, it's immigration.

We're brought up on pantomimes, where most of the major characters are cross dressing, and the dame is generally the funniest person on stage
Marzipan_civil
He's talking shite, plenty of girls in Ireland would dress similarly to your picture.

If you know somebody who works there, see if they'll do you a referral. Perhaps they're not hiring in your speciality at the moment

Here's how I tend to figure it out, if it's a text:
X would like a playdate with your kid! Would Y date suit?
Yes/No/pick date
Great! Your place or ours?
Sometimes people will offer to host if you ask them. Quite often kids want to host so they can show off their own toys, it depends on the kids. To be honest most of the playdate my kid has are the kids talking to each other, and the parents texting to sort an actual date.

If UK had stayed in EU, then I would only have travelled outside EU once. (to Australia)

Kirby, Minecraft, Mario Kart, Mario Party are all good for that age.

Ask for money in the card instead. Then your kid can put that money together and get one big thing they actually want
Marzipan_civil
Talk to the parents of the other kids. What's the reason for the differences in the rules between your kids and the other kids?
I can see that not going into other people's houses/garages/yards is fine, but banning stick fights is way too strict

What's the significance of "swamp or alluvium" on your map?

I don't know about a 17 year old. My kid is nine and it feels like I never have enough annual leave to spend the time with her that I want to.
Marzipan_civil
Well you keep the annual leave for another part of the year then.

"Granted" has a "t" sound before the "id" , "granite" has the "t" after the "i"
Most five year olds are idiots, he can be annoying but he's a small kid. At least he's trying to learn, even if he goes about learning in a stupid way
