I think how she misrepresents the show is what bothers me. Like she does some highlights weird behavior but this felt like she looked at social media and said good enough. The thing that annoys me is that she used a fandom to avoid watching a show that is very much just obvious staire. I noticed some cracks when she talked about Hellaverse she is just kind of fandom bashing instead of engaging with good faith as it is clear to me she didn't understand Hazbin hotel at all if she missed the point of season 2's ending.

Also yeah that part is just not true as I see Hetaila cosplayers and the fandom isn't dead they wouldn't still be making it. While I argee you shouldn't put beauty tona face of actual evil shit it is clearly missing the point of staire.

Okay similar to what I tell Spy x Family fans about how it refuses to address the main reason why we are here for random stupid shit I'll you. Just because you are slice of life Romcom doesn't excuse you from plot progression. It makes your story bloated and unfocused. It isn't good writing and you can be using your genre as an excuse for why you drag things out. Even Azumanga Daioh and Haruhi knew how to do this correctly despite being within the same frame work. I don't hate fun. I don't hate comedy but Jesus move it along people it isn't hard to do this. Character agency is a fucking thing.

I never said anything gender idenitity. I never said anything about his sexuality so that is weird to bring up. I saw that but my point is just that he doesn't mind being a girl see Gymnast fight and figure skating arc for examples. All I am saying is he doesn't mind being a girl and being cute. That's it. I'm not asking for hot lesbian action. I'm not actually for a Yuri/yoai love interst rival. This is like the third time I have had to explain this to a Ranma fan. Listen I'm sorry if others have came at you like that but I'm not them.

Also that is great you have res the manga but as someone who has read the Chainsaw Man manga this just comes off as being passive aggressive and not understanding the argument of a person. The agenda in this case is acting like they don't mind being the other at all. I also just wish it didn't turn into a trans debate because just like what you did many others who get mad at me think I said Ranma was trans when all I said he doesn't mind being a girl. Also Ranma and Akane do like each other as this show is a Rock Com after all and pretty much every couple fights that isn't super new even back then. I have a different criticism regarding that but it isn't important right now.

I wish I was kidding about that. You are right about the time period as Banana Fish is also from the 80s just like Ranma.

I am literally three seasons in. It is very clear he doesn't mind and hasn't done shit like some of the others to fix their problem. This is basically just defending lack of character agency if anything. You can tell me they don't mind but if they don't do anything to fix it then I am going to infer otherwise. This is like trying to justify Gon doesn't want to find his dad in Hunter x Hunter when he does. When you give characters goals they have to actually do something to work towards then goal that isn't competing in a devilery girl race or fighting off a creepy dude from the Kendo club.

Good thing I never did that but some get mad at me anyway for saying that. I don't know agenda but it is people not reading what is in front of them. You can give me one quote I can give a number of examples of him being okay and confortable being a girl dating back to season 1. From what I have gathered the Netflix adaption has been very faithful and killing it. I'm sorry as I'm not looking to start anything but after three and half seasons of watching this show this is my conclusion. I welcome being wrong. I love the show but lack of character agency is a major writing issue because we have seen more progress on the romance front than that front.

I am just an anime only of the remake and I'm sorry you are three seasons in either you want to or not buddy. He isn't embrassed when he is one and just enjoys wearing those outfits. Character agency is a thing and if you wanted to convey that then you do. The reason I say this because people get mad at me when I say because they think I must think Ranma is trans.
