100% agreed. I pretty much only drive the 992 and I just refuse to do any fixed races... and maybe open Spa cause I make my own setups and getting the Porsche to behave through Raidillon is beyond my ability I think lol

Max255_PL

I've pretty much exclusively driven the 992 since I started in LMU (outside of a few reaces in the M4 at the very beginning).
Why 992? Love the sound, really like how it handles... and been driving it for a few years before that in other sims... so I just stuck with it.

Max255_PL

This right here.
The "dash" camera cannot be adjusted, only the "cockpit" one can.

Max255_PL

It's just the LMP2 that's free, LMP3 and ELMS tracks need the DLCs.

Max255_PL

Pretty sure ELMS LMP2 is free for anyone.

This is the correct answer but lemme expand onto it a bit just in case anyone wants to learn a bit more details.

There's a few components to the effective braking torque bias at wheels: - the size of the brake discs (bigger the radius at which the pad contacts the disc the higher the torque with same clamping force) - type of the brake pads (you can technically have pads with different friction coefficients between front and rear) - the number and size of the pistons in the caliper (more pistons = higher clamping force = higher torque, etc.) - the size of the master cylinders if a car has 2 for front and rear each (smaller MC, higher line pressure and vice versa) - the position of the balance bar (this is what the driver actually adjusts in-car, this changes how much input force each MC gets)

Usually what is presented as brake bias IRL is the line pressure bias, so after balance bar and master cylinders but before everything else. This appears to be the same in LMU, iRacing and some more advanced AC mods (newer IER and VRC stuff), maybe some other Sims do it "correctly" as well but can't recall any from memory.

Max255_PL

Bait used to be believable.

Max255_PL

In general - from my limited experience digging through docs and manuals - GT3 cars are homologated with a single set of power/coast ramps, non-reversible as well (unlike some other race cars).
So the only ways to adjust the differential are number of friction plates and the preload.

There are different types of RCS, what you described are cold gas thrusters where it indeed is just a valve with a nozzle and a single propellant, usually gas.

What is more commonly used on things like capsules are biprop thrusters, where you have 2 propellants that ignite when they come in contact with each other (also known as hypergolic) inside a small combustion chamber, not too different than normal rocket engines.

I or someone else can expand on the topic even more if needed, just didn't wanna type a paragraph on the phone right now.

Max255_PL

Double check your lua apps folder, some of the... "questionable" car mods come with an app like that.

Max255_PL

Any of the paid IER mods. No competition there.

Max255_PL

100% possible, just 99.8% of people has no idea how to do it properly... Simulation physics is a very complicated field where not only you need overall vehicle dynamics knowledge but also a deep understanding of the sim in question as each does things differently. And even then that knowledge is somewhat useless without car specific data, which in a lot of cases is hard to find, closely guarded by manufacturer, straight up wrong or just doesn't exist.

Max255_PL

Afaik it'll only work on properly configured Cphys cars with extended brake system... which atm I don't think there are any.
It'll make no difference for other cars.

Max255_PL

Actually stock AC only has single point tire model. Once you add CSP and use cars properly configured for it they can have multi-point tire model which can go up dozens of points.

Max255_PL

This is how it should be on most recent version.

Apps is now Python Apps along with Python Apps Settings, order was also changed to what you see.

Max255_PL

99.9% of them are not accurate, and that even includes Kunos cars. Or for the matter of fact all sims on the market (yes, including iRacing).

Everything relies on the data developers/modders have available to plug into the physics model - which most of the time just isn't available or even doesn't exist (tires are literal black magic). A large amount of mods just copies and smashes together physics from random Kunos cars (eg. AMG GT3 suspension on a road going supercar from a completely unrelated manufacturer). Even RSS/VRC stuff isn't very accurate but they're decent approximations. Closest you'll get to realistic is IER P13c.

Max255_PL

No it's not lmao

RSR and pretty much all GTE cars are well below 2850lbs/1300kg.

Standard G7 NASCAR is around 3485lbs/1560kg.

G56 is 2960lbs/1342kg.

Max255_PL

Shortly after this race the driver of the 140 was found dead (iykyk)

Jokes aside, very nice picture!

Max255_PL

I don't have any experience with either of the mentioned GPUs but CSP has a bunch of optimizations included, as long as you keep all the eye candy stuff off you should be fine('ish).

And the CPU will be fine, tho more RAM would be helpful. I have the i3-8100 but with 16GB RAM and GTX 1060 6GB and running CSP and Pure I can't complain about much... Unless I try to do rain or bunch of AI (20+).

As for Suzuka I wouldn't hold my breath, most public servers will be running SRP/NoHesi/drifting stuff and then whatever's left is probably GT3s at Monza/Spa. Leagues may run it but rarely. Unless you find someone to specifically host a race there for you the chances are very low.

If what you're describing is the centering spring randomly turning on (most commonly on tabbing out of the game), then try disabling GameInput Service in Windows, recent update broke something.

Max255_PL

Disable GameInput Service, recent Windows update broke something.

Max255_PL

Windows update borked Game Input service, disable it in Services.

Max255_PL

Disable Game Input service in Windows, recent update broke something and this fixed it for me.

Max255_PL

Setting only changes the strength, distance of the effect is hardcoded at 0.5s. Unfortunately.
