Playing catch up implies actually trying in the first place. Bare minimum effort does not count.

Probably the same crowd that downvote anything to do with ping limits
Mazo
I don't really watch him other than rarely seeing his shorts pop up on youtube.
It's almost like people can have the same opinion about things that suck on their own though...
Mazo
You thought it was normal for the shot to go 45 degrees off target into the floor randomly?
Mazo
Aim punch is one of the shittiest, most unfair mechanics in the game. It feels really bad to be punished because your shot happened to be the exact 1-3 frames something hit you.
It's especially bad when you consider that ping differences mean the aim punch happens at different times for each player.
It should knock your camera view, but not the actual weapon aim. That would be a fair balance between it being slightly disorientating when correcting your aim, but not overly punishing because you just so happened to fire on that particular frame.

Having multiple panels per input means shading to one panel impacts the other.
It's not quite that black and white with modern panels. Half cut cells and bypass diodes help a lot.

It's gone up about 3 million in a couple of hours. They're probably fudging the numbers at this point

I had a match today where one of our teammates got disconnected, and the rest of us couldn't move for a good 30 seconds. Eventually, things somehow stabilized.
I've had this before where it was a good 5 minutes, then we heard a hunter die nearby and the servers instantly recovered
Mazo
I've got a pair of HD560s that I'm pretty happy with for hunt, but trying my wife's HD599SE can confirm they are absolute garbage for sound positioning. Couldn't believe the difference between them considering the price gap isn't that large

If this has multiplayer elements, which it sounds like it does if trading is being added, how will you deal with the same problem other similar games like Ingress or Pokemon Go has with GPS / location spoofing?
Mazo
Octopus AI vibe coding their UI with no human verification perhaps?
Mazo
It takes two seconds and braincells to work out which ones are likely doing this. It's such a ridiculous argument.
Mazo
I'm pretty sure the cyclone has zero actual kick. Your crosshair returns to the same point after each shot without you needing to move it at all
Mazo
Caveat: that's the intelligent go tariff which requires either a compatible EV charger, or EV itself.
But go also exists with slightly higher rates and one less hour off peak and no daytime smart slots
Mazo
You should definitely be able to get cheaper rates than that. 7-10p off peak for sure. Depending on your mileage it would likely offset the day rate increase especially if you do a little bit of load shifting too (dishwasher / washing machine overnight in off peak, immersion mostly off peak etc)
Mazo
Sound via the DAC sounds better, it's more defined somehow, I can hear more details in the ambience and I can also hear footsteps at longer ranges than before for sure.
Unless you're comparing with the old headphones that's not a valid claim to say it's the DAC improving quality when it could just be the headphones.
Mazo
Once you realise it's the same as other sights it's fine. Aim at the tip of the sight.
Mazo
Could also just pay at extraction to unlock it.
I did think of that too, but then you lose a lot of the tactical elements. If you can just run to the middle extract and leave before anyone can get to you it doesn't really change much.
It should be a tradeoff, you have to make a risk with a cost to potentially get a benefit
Mazo
The chariot card has all but disappeared (which I feel like is a good thing, it was too easy to find and use to the point it was just used to troll)
However, that leaves us with two locked extracts that are functionally useless.
An idea could be to have ritual sites at a few points across the map, you could then sacrifice pledge marks (4-6?) to rotate the extracts. This gives it a cost, a time investment (you have to go to the right spot on the map) and opens up some tactical elements.
If you have the bounty and some pledge marks do you risk running to a ritual site and spending them to open a closer extract and risk an ambush at the ritual site?
If you've been caught up in a fight and looted some pledge marks and the bounty is about to walk out consequence free, do you divert to a ritual site and try to stop them? Then you have to consider can you intercept them in time afterwards, or do you let them go and save your pledge marks for another match

Vetterli has always been perfectly average at practically everything.
With the exception of the fire rate buff with iron eye I'd say it moves up to decent/good.
Mazo
They added MMR decay for returning players in 2.9, so that's probably contributing.
As someone that has been hard locked in 6 star since the MMR updates, there's some absolutely cracked 3-4 stars playing with 6 stars currently, so it's highly likely to be MMR decay related.
Mazo
I only mentioned that it doesn't disable their aggro
It does, they retaliate to damage from an unknown source by swinging randomly / charging forward a bit.
They don't actually aggro onto you.
Mazo
Aimpunch is an important mechanic
Aim punch is a shit mechanic as it is currently implemented. Having it knock the camera is fine, but it shouldn't move your weapon aim like it does currently.
Having your aim knocked upwards 45 degrees for like 3 frames just because your ping + enemies ping happened to line up absolutely perfectly to fuck you over always feels like it's unfair as there is nothing you can do to counter that. It's entirely down to luck.
Agile Export is the answer here.
