I wasn't trying to start an argument about lane splitting. I was just pointing out that some things are accepted in other places and people here might not know that they can't do it here

I made a left turn on red in Dublin and a guy yelled at me like I was a lunatic. At dinner that night a friend from Dublin told me that they don't allow that over there. I had no idea.

McDray

I said it's legal in CA (it is) and that it is acceptable in some places (it is). So I don't know what you mean by "Except really it's not."

I drive in CA every other week so I see it all the time. I've lived in Orlando my entire life but I have never seen anyone do it here, but I'm sure that they do.

McDray

I've never ridden a motrocycle in my life so I'm not trying to defend anything. I'm just adding more info about one of the things on that list because a lot of people don't know that in some places it's acceptable.

Those are really, really low margins. Maybe just get him to buy you a beer and call it even.

McDray

If he's going to gross $1 million per year, I assume that you mean that this will go on for multiple years. That means he will make many millions of dollars. And you're only going to ask for $10,000?

McDray

You have to have a business plan with projected income and expenses. You have to show them how they will get their money back,

McDray

So he'd rather pay the higher state income tax in CA? That makes zero sense.

We never give out price on our website or on printed collateral because there are too many variables to accurately quote price without knowing a lot more about what you need. I used to sell ERP software that could be $7,000/year for the dmallest clients all the way up to $4 million for the largest. So how in the world could I possibly tell you what the cost is if I know nothing about you?

"...we're just trying to get as much as we can out of them." Well, yeah. Without being unethical and selling them things that they don't need, that is the goal. As a buyer they are trying to pay you the least that they can get away with, so it's hippocritical of them to complain that a seller wants the most they can get.

So the best and most fair way to do it is to have a conversation. Find out what they need and then put together a proposal with the products that meet those needs and the price for those products. Don't add on a bunch of stuff they don't need.

Actually, my best friend and I do exactly this. It's great.

Motorcycles driving between lanes is called "lane splitting" and is legal in CA, some states don't have any rules either way, but it's illegal in FL. I travel to Santa Monica about every other week and it took me a while to get used to it. Scared the shit out of me the first time a motorcycle blew past me.

According to Rob Dingman, President and CEO of the American Motorcyclist Association, “Lane splitting keeps riders safer by eliminating their exposure to rear-end collisions, and it helps ease congestion by effectively removing motorcycles from the traffic lanes.”

The flasher is the rain and the idiots going 60 in the left lane make me want to punch someone.

Get the degree. If you don't , there will be a time (or many times) in your life when you will be stuck in a job and unable to go to a new one that you really want because you don't have that piece of paper. I see it all the time.

Look at MRI software. They are based in Cleveland but have offices in Atlanta. I can refer you into there if we chat and i think you're a good candidate.

"I don't want to know where you learned how to do that but I'm really glad you did."

That's what my girlfriend (now wife) said after we had sex when we first started dating.

McDray

Why are you launching a SaaS product in a market that you know is "densely compoetitive?"

Your answer is to that question is the thing that you will use to sell. If you can't really answer that question then you have toask yourself why you're doing this at all.

McDray

I'm surprised that you haven't heard of this. I use a weed wacker with a 10 inch circular saw blade on it to clear part of my lakefront. It's not even close to being dangerous because the blade is at the end of the weed wacker, 5 feet away from your body. It's almost physically impossible to cut yourself anywhere other than your foot, and eventhat would take some effort.

I'm not sure how many generations back we go, but my (however many greats) grandparents lived in FL when they were still fighting Indians. Born and raised in Orlando, still here. My wife's family has been in Orlando for about 125 years. In our part of town there are a ton of us.

I'm a straight guy and I've had this with men. Being married doesn't matter much.

That's a big dog to be leaning on you. Mine is only 70 lbs.

McDray

Mine will be 7 in a couple of months and she is just now showing the tiniest sign of calming down.

McDray

She is fiercely protective.of.our kids. They are 18 and 16 now but she has been around for 7 years. There is no doubt that she is my dog but she will attack anyone that messes with my kids, even me.

When I play around with my 16 year old boyAnnabelle jumps in and goes after me. Even if he comes up to me and starts fake punching me, she attacks me not him.

I truly think she knows that she has to protect the weaker person.

McDray

One day I was upstairs in my office when my wife called me from down on our dock. She said, "you need to come and get your stupid dog."

I went down there and Annabelle was about a quarter mile across the lake swimming after a duck. The duck wouldn't fly off but kept just out of her reach, swimming in big circles, teasing her. She had been going for about 20 minutes.

I called her for about 10 minutes with no luck so I got the boat out. I motored up beside her and she looked at me with this look like, "Hey. Whats up?" And she kept on swimming. By this time she was almost a mile across the lake and had no intention of stopping.

So I reached over and pulled her into the boat. I'm certain that she expected me to help her catch the duck. But I took her home and threw a tennis ball into the lake about 100 times.

McDray

Heresnonenfrom yesterday that shows that, although she is extremely intelligent, she can also be an idiot.

The wife and I took her for a walk, not a rin. We were out for about an hour. When we got home Annabelle went in first, the door closed behind her and I opened it about 2 second later. When the door opened she reacted exactly the same as when i get home from a long trip. It was as if she hadn't seen us is weeks.

She also has a need to be touching me at all times. She leans on me when I'm standing in the kitchen, has her head on my feet when in at my desk, head in my lap on the couch and and sleeps in bed with me. She pushes my wife away.

The squirrel recieved a proper burial. By that I mean it was thrown into the lake. She has eaten quite a few squirrels and at least two rabbits. One of the rabbits clawed her right under the eye so she has a pretty cool scar.

After eating one of the rabbits she came into the house and puked all of it up into the kitchen floor. I didn't see it and my wife came downstairs, half awake, and stepped in it. I thought it was hilarious. The wife did not share my opinion.
