Well yeah. That is their stated goal.
The fact that seems to surprise so many people in this thread shows that most people are incapable of reading and instead blame others. (insert meme "that can't stop me because I can't read")
Most users who complain about SO are genuinely idiots who didn't read the rules. Not all. But most.

In what sense is Echo weaver not a metroidvania?
(and Tunic is a zelda-like, which IMO is just a subcateory of MVs)

A circle with an infinite radius is a line. Not "similar", not "shares some properties", it is a line.
On a standard plane you can't have two points an infinite distance apart. Points at infinity don't exists there.
On a projective plane, there is exactly one point at infinity through which all lines go, so three colinear points with one point at infinity still make a straight line, i.e. a circle with infinite radius.

I am reminded of the video of a judge refusing to rule on motions by a lawyer and instead implying a ruling without stating it, so that the rulings can't be appealed.
Some judges definitely hate it.

You need to get ender pearls from trading and blaze rods from blazes, and this is RNG based. Over 6 streams, each at least an hour, he got unusually lucky, indicating he had a mod that changed these rates. (There is a great video by "Standup Maths", also a complete outsider that explains what "too lucky" means)
Of course dream denied at first, but even an hour after the run all evidence that could have hinted towards the non-existence of an illegal mod was gone. (It's standard procedure by the moderators to asked for such evidence, although the process was less established at that point)
Later Dream changed his story that he had a mod installed to help with manhunt videos. For those, increasing the rates would be perfectly ok to just speed up the process. He also claimed that he wasn't aware that this mod changed these rates and that the developer he asked to implement the mod added this without his knowledge, but neither Dream nor the developer could provide the moderator team with the source code, the binary or even descriptions of what the mod was supposed to do except change the rates.
So yeah it's "possible" that he cheated by accident - assuming you are willing to believe that he installed a mod that to the best of his knowledge did absolutely nothing.
Proper TLDR: He had a mod installed that made the run easier/faster/more reliable. The effects could be measured easily based on the full stream VODs and it's very theoretically plausible that he had the mod installed by accident (but that's not likely)

Aha, I was wondering why tf this doesn't match my experience at all.
You are watching "copyright issues, the series" and are surprised that there are issues...

Sue A24? Redistribute the movie for free?
And the SCP wiki wouldn't even have to pay significant legal fees. There are going to be legal firms who will foot the bill, and the Creative Commons org will defend their license.
Like genuinely, A24 would lose. Disney would lose this.

He had a few speedruns, including two worlds records. The third major run, a 4th place time in a more popular category was what got caught at the time by a different cheater (like recognizes like and all that). This was the first major scandal. At the end Dream successfully convinced the asshole Karl Jorbst that he only cheated by accident and the actual experts didn't have the energy left to counteract this narrative. At this point there was no convincing evidence against the earlier WRs, but Dream volunteraily pulled them from the leaderboard.
Independent of that, there are the manhunt videos which were always under a constant assumption of being faked/staged/scripted. This is probably the stuff you heard about the most.
Then, in the last few months, various people have for various reasons started investing time into serious cheat detection efforts and analyzed just about anything Dream ever did, because of the faked speedrun and the suspicious manhunts. And it turns out, just about anything Dream ever did was faked to some degree.
Dream doesn't suffer from this because he has a major fanbase of kids that is mostly independent of the actual competitive minecraft scene. The only effect this newest round of videos is likely to have is that some events may exclude him and some other YouTubers may stop associating with him.
Also note worthy, scripting or faking the manhunts would be completely fine. It's an entertainment video first, like reality TV. But Dream constantly invents excuses for why all these anomalies are there and insists that it's all unscripted, and in case of some of them, unedited, when this is just provably false. That's what pisses of people the most.

Isn't the clause "don't sell steam keys cheaper than the price on steam"?
Meaning that as long as you host the game somewhere else you can sell it for cheaper?
Otherwise how would itch.io variable pricing be compatible with games that are also on steam?
MegaIng
Note that these are fine because other game exists. In the very fictitious alternative reality where steam only had valve games and where just as dominant, it wouldn't be too hard to argue for a vertical monopoly and require them to separate these parts of their business. (See Internet explorer lawsuits and factory towns)
But since Steam is filled with non-valve games this angle obviously doesn't work.
MegaIng
Note that this is actually true for bikes and is written in the StVO, bikes are like cars in this regard (it just isn't enforced, like, ever).
MegaIng
You mean like the English language?
If 12<n<20, swap digits is exactly what happens there.
MegaIng
Because it's funny to trigger the army of bots, like I did here.
MegaIng
And I am going to continue to assume that everyone with the username + private profile is a bot.
Like you.

Ne, die voll deutsche variant fließt besser in dem Tweet.
MegaIng
And the reasons the values look like this is because these are averages of a subjective scale, so it's exceedingly unlikely to get a value outside the 4-6 range.
MegaIng
But it's definitely more straight than the question mark. Putting them in the same tier is slandering both of them.
MegaIng
Aha, fair.

Check and Checkmate are unnecessary in normal chess. You can completely drop it and the gane doesn't change at all. (As long as neither player is too stupid to take a king if they can)
It's often better to teach chess without mentioning checkmate.
Variants often increase the complexity of move rules, making checkmate detection more complex, and dropping it doesn't lose anything.

If you continue on the lines of thinking implied by the movie and slightly more spelt out in the book:
- Both Erid, Earth and Adrian's cells are far too similar to have developed independently
- They have a common ancestor
- The astrophage evolved on Adrian
- The astrophage, or it's potential precursors is the only thing that can do interstellar travel without advanced technology
- Life on both Erid and Earth came from Adrian
- Life in at least this section of the galaxy is common because it could spread out from Adrian
- There are probably other planets very nearby where biospheres have evolved based on seeding from Adrian
- We never hear about any other stars recovering
- Those biospheres probably don't have the tech for interstellar travel
- Unless either Humans or Eridians go out and try and save those potential biospheres, they will all definitely die out.
MegaIng
They have different kinds of severity:
- the php thing is really impactful, but relatively easy to fix
- the eMudhra thing is a bit less important (the padlock is nice, but it's not the only defense), it's just impossible to truly fix. The directly end user facing cases in browsers have been fixed, but there will be an eternal tail of systems that haven't gotten the update.
MegaIng
That depends on where you went to school. Definitions are arbitrary and different countries teach this differently. There is no useful "objective" definition.

Firefox is save.
IDK what windows is doing with edge on win10.

An electrons speed (in a vacuum) depends on the energy it was accelerated with, and energy packets can only have certain values. But yeah, even when doing quantum mechanical calculations this is ignored most of the time. (Effectively because the resolution at the scales of atoms is so fine that the difference doesn't matter)
Electron Orbitals are the more standard example related to electrons: bound electrons can only be on certain energy level. (Which also gives them a few specific speeds with which they can move around)
Importantly, the entire 6D position-momemtum phase space is quantized
The "modern" equivalent is that flags should work well as emoji.

And IDK, that doesn't look as good anymore. It's just cyan with a yellow dot. The bar on the left is barely visible. And any of the interesting detail is obviously lost.
Bar-Flags have the benefit that they work in literally any context where you can present those colors.
