I needed it when I accidentally had to fight the entirety of moonrise towers when I tried to rescue Minthara during my Honor Run. The fight lasted over an hour and a half. She did not survive.

Yeah, its not super great. Normally I would say that if all diplomatic avenues are exhausted, find a new game, but that doesn't sound like an option. Some DM's like to railroad their games in a certain way, and he might feel like you're derailing his campaign maybe? Source: that used to be me. I would try to directly ask him if he feels like you are derailing his game, and if its not that, what can you do to ensure that you get to properly play the character you made.

Another thing you could do is offer to DM a couple one shots or something to take the load off the group to try to get around it. I would recommend keys to the golden vault, as it encourages players to find interesting solutions to the problems, which might be something your DM is adverse to.

I played as a cleric of Eldath, convinced to follow Eldath after she fell in battle and was on deaths bed. She was an incredibly fun support cleric. She refused to attack anyone until this one BBEG said some absolutely heinous shit.

The only other request that I would have is that it can become too easy to win in the civil war by just building all the barracks in the north - would it be possible to have event popups when the south secedes to raise and nationalize their national guards, essentially spawning more regiments for them?

Would you be able to make Mexico and states south of the Rio Grande slave states, if America fully annexes them? It feels a bit silly getting help to fight for abolition from all of the alt-history states that should be under the boot of the southern planters during the Civil War. I'd rather fight human contingents of the banished. I think it would be hard to make a game in the traditional halo feel against only humans without it becoming one dimensional in combat.
