Yeah, and it's crazy you are getting downvotes. I legit thought this was from some horror thing.

This sub has rules, and if you don't follow those rules then the speech is removed. Free speech does not mean you can say whatever you want wherever you want. Private spaces (irl and online) are not free speech spaces.

Veneration is relics most certainly occurred in pre- Jewish and Christian religions.

I worked with a woman whose parents immigrated from northern India. Her mom was always on her about her weight and her skin tone, especially as her family was starting to try to find her a husband. She'd yo-yo diet and buy skin lightening creams, it was really sad. In the end, her family said "if you don't want to marry, go to medical school", so she went to medical school.

It was really eye-opening (as a sheltered young adult white lady) to hear her talk about her struggles growing up in America to an immigrant family. She lived a double life- at home with her family going to college, and at night she was running around with her Pakistani boyfriend and trying to be as "American" as possible. I took her to get her navel pierced because she wanted to do something "wild", and her boyfriend half-jokingly told me I was a bad influence. One of my favorite memories of that time in my life is running around clubbing in Washington DC with her and her best friend, having them tell bouncers "Oh, no, she's with us. She's not an asshole white lady." hahaha

Point being OP, you look great. No notes.

You've never met any because they either didn't make it to our age, are still requiring specialized care, and/or are struggling against the soci-economic world they were born in to.

The chances are low, for my middle-class income, to run into a "crack baby" at my local co-op where I buy organic apples.

I grew up in a trailer park, but got out. That's not very common. The people I knew that stayed there, stayed there. The only thing we have in common is our childhood. It's like we are from two different planets now.

When I got my first white-collar job, I felt completely out of place with everyone around me. They grew up in houses with white-picket fences and experiences that I could never dream of having as a child. I felt (still feel) like a spy, like I don't belong. I hide my upbringing at work so I'm not seen as "trailer trash".

Point being- people tend to stay in the class they were growing up. It's not because they want to but because the deck is usually stacked against them.

This comic explains what I mean brilliantly: https://digitalsynopsis.com/inspiration/privileged-kids-on-a-plate-pencilsword-toby-morris/

As someone else who also hates antinatalists.... I'm a childfree person who thinks there are too many people on this earth. I also don't like kids. People will lump me in with antinatalists and it pisses me the fuck off. My opinion of what I think people should do with their bodies is none of my business, just like it should be no one else's business what I do with mine. Antinatalists make it their business.

I don't recommend, but if you go to their subreddit (if it's still there) and read a few posts, you can't tell the difference between them and people who were really into the idea of eugenics at the turn of the century. They want to control our bodies as much as pro-natalist do, but they are (fortunately) too cowardly to do anything but hold up signs on a street corner.

This is how I have always imagined them : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNChSF5nqJs

Get your ai slop out of here

Then why did you get with him? Why plan a kid after only knowing him for 2 years?

Also, you just had a baby. Hormones are going to be all over the place. It's best the two of you go to couple's counseling so that you can get use to this new normal.

It's ok to bring a folder/notebook to interviews. I have questions about the company written down and I take notes. This also allows me to have answers to the most common questions written down in case I get nervous.

What does this have to do with asq?

People would care more if it was affordable. I didn't go to my first ballet, opera, and Broadway show until I was in my 40s. I was too broke when I was younger.

The same could be said about going to a movie theater now.

What's your goal with this post, given your post history?

Doesn't justify invading a country and killing its people.

Never know. There are cancers we didn't identify until the 20th century, not because they were new, but because we had the technology to understand what it was we were looking at.

Also, there weren't really hospitals and doctors like we know them now. Germ theory was centuries away still. People still thought "bad air" and "impure blood" made you sick.

People also may not have lived long enough to get some cancers. Like, my dad got some skin cancer removed from his face last month. He's in his late 60s. Would he have even made it to his 60s back then?

As a white person, I'd advise you to not sell prints of burning churches.

And the big thing is always relative to where you are in the world.

This is a common grift used by spiritualist and Christian evangelicals all the time. Doomsday cults and Doomsday Christianity (think any church that preaches the "end times are near" more than they do anything else: 7th Day, Baptists, Pentecostal, etc) are popular because it motivates people to give up all money and value to top brass of the organization.

It's all a way to gain money and power.

You will find examples throughout history. Like, throughout ALL of history. There is even a word for it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eschatology
