Or, take PhotoLine as a closed-source example. It is an enormously powerful piece of software with mindboggling levels of flexibility, yet I've rarely seen it mentioned here. PL rivals PS on many, many aspects. Equals it on most things.

while Photoshop is made "mostly" with C++. (Although Photoshop is slowly adopting RUST in their codebase). you have to rewrite for each device as well.

Artcraft's programs are "mostly" written in rust which will make it compatible in windows, mac and linux. Since rust can run on most devices, you can have the same codebase for each device making fixing bugs easier.

Well my suggestion is to categorize your topics. Idk if this will help but that's how I like to talk to dumb people. Make them know what environment they are in and then discuss.

In messaging apps such as discord, a server can have multiple text channels in which you can discuss various topics as long your in the right text channel.
