Trans girls get Samus Arm Cannons
Trans guys get Mega Man Arm Cannons

No, I renamed the video files to make them "episodes" in the season and manually adjusted the metadata in Plex
Mickspad
Mickspad
They do, and they are
I'm adding more to the back because they were sitting around and helped fill a gap at the back of the case to the vents

It is unfortunate that I live in America and the hardware store does not like the metric system, but I found screws that worked
Mickspad
Oh cool, thank you, just saved me a ton of time with that
Mickspad
Holy shit, I need to play Melty Blood on mine now, I never thought about that
Is this the Steam version (I assume no because the Steam version is terrible, but I don't feel like setting up an emulator if I can avoid it)
Mickspad
Do not kill Detective Kerry in a bullshit way in Saw 3, fucking let her survive the trap and then go on to be an actual menace against the Jigsaw crew
She was too good to go out in the way she did
Mickspad
None, and it fucking sucks.
AI is steamrolling everything I enjoy, including my job
And I wish I was exaggerating. I do genuinely mean everything
Mickspad
Good to know I shouldn't work there, its already pure hell enough where I work
And honestly... That sounds like the mentality of "move fast, break stuff" that every headass CEO that doesn't know shit about coding is actively pushing rather than a growing knowledge base
Mickspad
Okay, be so fucking real with me. Are you serious or are you trolling?
If you're serious, I genuinely dont want to be mean here, I am just angry and this crap because it's been a day in and day out occurrence for me
But... this is the same thing as the binary argument again
You're responsible for your own code. You are using other pre-built items called on in your code to connect to, but you are not responsible for those items because theyre not your code
Handing over the process of writing your own code to an LLM is giving up control and making a declarative statement that you don't give a shit and leads to a lack of understanding on your own code
And if you don't give a shit, then fine, do whatever, I won't be using LLMs because I personally find they suck the fun out of coding, but you do you. Just don't pretend that you do give a shit, and don't force other people to clean up your mess if you're in a company environment (I am sick and tired personally of cleaning up my coworkers' slop and I can't say anything because management has a financial interest in AI so if I say anything, I get in trouble)
Also I'm not ignoring that you "what about it"'d the argument and shifted the goal post because you didn't have an actual response to what I said and just said "well what about this?" Even though it was the same exact thing you already said and I discussed just under a slightly different context, that's where the thought that you're trolling is primarily still coming from at this point
Mickspad
Buddy... Yes the absolute fuck they are pushing slop code to prod, maybe not without any human review, but not with the level that should be implemented (because I'm sure a lot of cases at least go "yeah, looks good to me" but that's as far as it goes in a lot of cases)
I work at a large scale company, and my team has extremely strict coding requirements so we generally don't (and I've had to advocate for those requirements to try to reduce the amount of AI slop going to prod) but the quality I've seen from official products on other teams at the same company (and even old code on my own team) is genuinely horrific, and slop code is being pushed to prod
Because when everyone is jerking off over AI output, nobody is checking it, especially when "we built this website using AI" when nobody on the team is a dedicated web developer because we're all extremely knowledgeable in C++ and Python, and not so much JavaScript
And even ignoring my own experience in favor of wider scale stuff: look at how bad Windows has gotten because of their push for AI coders, they had to issue a public statement that they were cutting back because of just how bad it was getting and how much it was affecting users
You vastly overestimate how much people care

I get what you're trying to say, but it is fundamentally wrong on purpose to try to pretend a problem doesn't exist when it clearly does
I may not know the underlying binary, but I still am taking control as the programmer to understand what the code I've written does
Handing it off to an LLM to write your code for you is making a declaration that you don't give a shit to even try to understand the code being generated and you are willingly giving up that control
It is not the same thing and I refuse to believe that you aren't fully aware of that and pushing this BS to troll
Mickspad
You did.
When you said "spending weeks coding and DEBUGGING"
oh, but I didn't mean it like that
There's an obvious implication there that you're trying to swing on a technicality instead of just going "yeah, that was dumb to say"
Mickspad
"Effortlessly" "but you have to use it correctly"
Do you not see the DIRECT contradiction there, so which is it? Do you have to put in effort or don't you?
Mickspad
Yeah, you have to replace the fun of writing code with writing up an essay for your fucking agent only for it to be a gamble on if it will even follow your prompt correctly, and "oh, you shouldn't be using that model, you should use this model, except your agent won't work with that model, so you need to rewrite it, but it's fine because you should be generating your agent and cleaning it up afterwards and use AI to make using AI less aggravating" and can I just write the fucking code already and do what I actually LIKE about this shit instead of playing an annoying ass slot machine that adds so much inefficiency while also promoting a technology that is directly polluting communities and ruining every online space I enjoy
And fuck off with that "factor of 10" crap, I am so sick of people claiming random ass exaggerated performance improvements when it's not fucking true, I actively avoid using LLMs at work and my output is higher than any of my coworkers who do, and that is not me declaring myself better than them, because I'm not, they had higher outputs than me before we started pushing LLMs into everything, and they all slowed down while talking up how much faster they got
There are use cases to AI, I'm not saying it's completely worthless, but don't exaggerate the benefits, I can't fucking stand that crap
Mickspad
Oh no, it's almost like that's what we've done for the past 60 years of coding, what an absolute nightmare
And are you really suggesting that you're not going to have to debug LLM written code? That's all I do anymore and it fucking sucks
LLMs have taken all of the fun out of coding: the process of building shit; instead you just get to be a janitor rather than an inventor and it sucks ass
Fuck LLMs. Learn to actually write your own code
Mickspad
You could just... You know... Learn to actually code.
Mickspad
It's funny you ask that because the by far biggest time save during the speedrun is to disconnect from the internet which just skips those missions entirely
Mickspad
So if you're not interested in doing it as a project, would you say it's probably not worth RGB modding a TV that already has S-Video?
I may be interested in doing an RGB mod for the sake of doing an RGB mod at some point in the future, but I'm wondering if the upgrade is super worth it or if it's going to be a case of "the primary enjoyment will be the journey tinkering with it rather than the end result"
Mickspad
I posted that comment seven years ago
Time is scary.
Mickspad
Okay, cool, I was scared that I just locked myself out of the area until I finished the game
Mickspad
I have one, but that's not fun and stoopid

Thank you
And I do have a 58 somewhere in storage, but I modified my condensor mic and the quality on it is so good, and I want to use that more in like any situation where I need to do recording
