Evolution of common language is a big deal though. What the common person passively believes to be true is a MASSIVE driving force across society as a whole. It's even a major concept in copyright law, which is why this is such a big deal to Nintendo.
Sure, turbo-nerds like us who hang out on discussion forums and debate nuances like this are aware of creature collectors as a whole, but for years, the general public only saw whatever article titles and yo8utuybe videos showed. And as the above posts demonstrates, almost everyone was calling Palworld "Like Pokemon but X" and not a "Creature collector."

Read up on her involvement with Los Muertos. She is most definitely not wholly selfish, with a Sigma exception. Her roots are in vigilante activism: https://share.google/v5EuHPwAi1WIfurLp

2 hours is from leaving 6 out of the last 20. Which is a LOT

Brother I've been terminally autistic about this game for a decade and I've never attended an event because I'm poor 😭

I found the lawsuit that's advertising. Pretty decent, actually. https://share.google/OsrCxz3aFqEMZ9MuB
Media being specifically designed to addict teenagers with zero regulation is as insane as it is blatantly obvious. We all see it, and many people have been warning about it for years.

A few more things to add to what the other guy said:
- Chinese players have far fewer means of communicating with western devs because their internet is so silo'd, so they often resort to review bombs to express any grievance. Even minor ones like finding the Doormaker annoying in slay the spire 2 (skill issue tbh)
- OW arrived on Steam following the cancellation of (most of) the PvE which was... just extremely stupid timing (It was Kotick's decision, unsurprisingly)
- Even after the game improved, it's been an ongoing meme to leave a bad review even if you love the game, with plenty of reviews having hundreds of hours, and continuing to play for hundreds more after reviewing
- There are still lots of people who feel like Blizz "betrayed" them and continue leaving negative reviews on fresh accounts. Almost like it's a moral imperative or something

Bitch about ally tanks, bitch about playing tank, you're just all bitch, aren't you?

She is an AWESOME design. I understand the gripes logically, but to think in the reverse, if OW always kept to the usual omnic look, we'd never get to explore other ideas like "creepy porcelain doll"

apparently we're supposed to be really technologically advanced
I work in IT and watching the next generation of hires, this has not been my experience. It was true back when technology was less friendly to general audiences, and asked a lot more from the user to run well. There was a time when you HAD to learn HTML to get the full experience out of social media websites.
These kids we're hiring, man... many of them literally don't know what HTML is. You say something basic like "clear the cache" and they stare at you blankly.
Closed systems and smoothed-out UIs have knee-capped these kids.

To your last point, about how many are in the community, there's two answers to that.
If you're in the West, OW doesn't have the social media presence of MR, partly because it's older and partly because of the reputation hit it took in the west (which has recovered a bit, but still). If you live in the East, it still dominates, they're obsessed with OW over there.
But in terms of player counts, it's still one of the biggest games in the world. It came to Steam 7 years after it's initial release, so the grand majority of players are on platforms that don't report player numbers (mostly Battle Net). If you Google "Newzoo Most popular PC games by monthly active users", you'll find a chart that puts Overwatch at #9.
So maybe you're worried about investing a game that's "dying" but that's entirely a meme. The game is doing extremely well! It'll be around for quite a while

There are exceptions as to why you'd be low ranked but good for some reason, but they are very rare.
It's not "rare" and to believe so displays a terrible perspective issue. I'll let this person say it far better than I ever could:

It's true man, you're fighting a wall here. "Knowing" is relative in a PvP game, and knowing less than someone else =/= not knowing at all.
Miennai
Yes, or at least, knows gaming in general and is applying the knowledge. It's that simple.

I can't help but picture those mascots from r/iamverysmart when ya'll talk like this bro. Yes they literally do know how to play, even if they faulter in execution or mechanics, or whatever else holds them back, the fact is that a gold player could consistently beat a bronze player. Anyone who genuinely thinks otherwise is just jacking off in the mirror.

You have to leave four of the last 20 games to get a 10 minute penalty. Also I don't think "out of 20" reset to any point, so if you left two out of 10 a month ago, and then left two games today, that's a 10 minute penalty.
I know it feels annoying and harsh in the moment, but you have to understand, that's a lot. Most people do not leave that frequently, and it must be discouraged.

If you'd rather just play something else then deal with that, that's perfectly fine. In fact, systems like this are specifically meant to be annoying to chronic leavers so they stop playing Overwatch and don't bog the game down for the rest of us.
