Except Neuro and Evil of course.

Another swing in a miss, maybe a foul tip. Do you even see what you did? You did it in your other comments too. You, seemingly, automatically jumped to, "the only government is federal". Both times you completely rejected state and the various local governments. Let me quote Bastiat again (I already did down farther in the comments), but I will edit it slightly-
“Socialism, like the ancient ideas from which it springs, confuses the distinction between [federal] government and society. As a result of this, every time we object to a thing being done by [federal] government, the socialists conclude that we object to its being done at all. We disapprove of state [federal] education. Then the socialists say that we are opposed to any education. We object to a state [federal] religion. Then the socialists say that we want no religion at all. We object to a state [federal]-enforced equality. Then they say that we are against equality. And so on, and so on. It is as if the socialists were to accuse us of not wanting persons to eat because we do not want the state [federal government] to raise grain.”

This is not the biggest problem in politics. The big problem is...
...the uncontrolled growth of the federal government making it necessary for businesses/interests to petition them. If the federal government were smaller and constrained to their constitutional (as written) authority, there wouldn't be a need for "influence".
Citizens United
Pro tip, if you brig up Citizens United, you lose most credibility since about 99% of people who bring it up have no idea what the case was about.

From you moving them? It is the way "the left" argues, especially on reddit.
-There aren't many Democrat billionaires in politics.
--- Here's an article that says it's about 50/50.
-Uh...If I change it to this specific subset and ignore everything else, it is 25/75.
--- OK, but that isn't what you said initially.
-You're moving the goalposts!
MikeLemon
From my first reply- "Of the top 20 billionaires who donate to politics" - notice it doesn't say "federal" anywhere, your original comment I replied to doesn't say "federal" either. You are the one who introduced and is using a federal only statistic, I never did. If anyone, it is you who is attempting to move a goalpost.
MikeLemon
The link I provided which includes state level candidates and issues? Or the link you provided which is only federal?
MikeLemon
And? You said there were "Not a lot of leftist billionaires." and I said about half of the top 20 donating were Democrats according to the article. I didn't say they were number one.
MikeLemon
What are you talking about? Bloomberg is number 8 on that list for both total and outside, and for hard money a Democrat contributor is number 2.
But, I'm so used to YouTube that I totally forgot links can be posted on reddit, so here is the article I was talking about- https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/politics/2025/11/21/the-top-20-billionaires-influencing-american-politics/87394909007/

Of the top 20 billionaires who donate to politics, 11 donate to Republicans, 9 to Democrats. (Detroit News reporting on Washington Post and Open Secrets data, 2025)

KOSA hasn't passed, COPPA is over 25 years old, and COPPA 2.0 hasn't passed, so what are you talking about?

Creators aren't going to spend time/resources
Netflix didn't say, "hey we are going to start a streaming service, start subscribing and when we get to 10 million we'll start putting up some shows."
Like I already said, the content has to be first. If the "creators" don't want to take the few minutes to install the sync tool (Odysee) or the 5 minutes to mirror a video to Rumble or whatever is needed for Bit Chute (or, programmers, make a program to upload everywhere), then they need to stop bitching about YouTube.
If they are a streamer, they just need to multi-stream. Plenty of people do it.
I am sick of the excuses. It's time for "creators" to put up or shut up, if for no other reason than to have a backup in case YouTube goes strike/ban happy again.
it's the audience and their unwillingness at large to use "the other site"
There has to be more than politics and fishing. You can't expect millions of viewers to go somewhere and sit around waiting for the "creators" to start posting. The content must be first, it's that simple. Every business has known that forever. Like I said, content people need do something or shut their pie hole.
"the other site" (for the record, I know which one you're referring to).
It's any of them. It is always the same few excuses.
MikeLemon
These days? It's been like that for almost 30 years.
MikeLemon
??? Why not use a podcast player?
MikeLemon
What sucks too is there’s no real alternative.
There are alternatives. The problem is "creators" are stuck in the mindset of either 1- There aren't a bajillion people on other platforms so they won't mirror (<-key word) their content to anywhere else, or 2- That other site has people they don't like so they won't mirror their content there. Both of those show the problem- people want to bitch, but they don't want to take the few minutes out of their day to do anything about it.
It is the "creators" responsibility to give viewers an opportunity to watch somewhere else. Netflix didn't say, "hey we are going to start a streaming service, start subscribing and when we get to 10 million we'll start putting up some shows." The content has to be first. Ask the people you follow to mirror their content, then when they do, watch a few of the videos on the other platform. If you are a "creator" mirror your content, let people know, and accept the 500 views, then keep at it, don't quit after a month.

Never know??? Well, I suppose anything is possible, but when one of the hosts has an automod to delete/hide any mention of it (1) the chance is near zero.
(1) found that out when I mentioned the 10 year anniversary- comment instantly hidden/deleted.

Reddit discontinued the old layout??? What am I looking at then?

Only a full reaction on Patreon. The was never a YouTube edit. I think she feels bad for how they reacted to it.
No. I like Evil too much, Neuro is pretty good also.
