idk where you practice when youre alone, but for me i have a similar issue and i practice when im home alone. if lets say youre home alone cant you just sing in your bathroom instead? or better yet, literally WHENEVER you practice (which im assuming you only do ahen youre alone) just take out your phone and turn on your front facing camera

ive been getting into it for a few months already and i always have the same two recurring issues. (i dream almost every night but have become lucid maybe 5-10 times since i started trying to lucid dream)

1. i wake up and realize that i was teetering on the edge if awareness but just never actually became lucid, by which i mean, i realize that my dream self was already kind of suspecting that something was off but didnt manage to clock that i was in a dream before waking up.

2. i do manage to become lucid and get so excited that i wake myself up (absolutely tragic 😭🥀)

do you have any tips to overcome these?

yeah ive tried those kinds of breathing exercises and stuff and i can do them easily but when it comes down to me having to actualy make a sound (especially higher notes) suddenly i cant do the same thing anymore :/ its really weird

cmiiw, but as far as i know, lore wise alkaloid's songs are mostly commissioned, aka they dont write their own songs, aka theres bound to be some oddballs thrown in here and there. i thing undying holy love is a great song which, sure, didnt feel very alkaloid, but isnt it nice to see the groups do something different once in a while? as long as its not so often that they feel like theyve lost their direction, it shouldnt really be an issue imo. like sunnytrip summer also didnt feel very their style but you gotta admit the little happy faces from mayoi and aira were adorable

omg, your daughter is so real. i had the same issue with die with a smile. was an okay song (even if it was overplayed as hell) but i just got filled with this inexplicable, overwhelming sense of dread whenever i heard the lyrics. my mom loved that song but after i told her how i feel when i listen to it she agreed to not play or sing it in front of me. its literally that easy.

and anyway, while its fine to dislike any song, i dont think its fair to say that they lack personality. i feel like on the other hand, if every song was using some crazy niche progression and had super unique melodies, it would also be really... overstimulating? i cant really think of the proper word but something like that. i feel like having some slightly more "generic" songs once in a while is quite refreshing

on top of that, as an EN player, you should know that its not like it doesnt get better from here. if you looked at the timeline youd see so many bangers coming out soon, so the comparing the recent releases to the ! era is kinda unwarranted here.

PS, dont complain about the charts being too easy if youre not playing expert or special. as another commenter said, its a strange to have an issue with that when youre not only playing hard, but dont even have any S+ combos as far as whatever's shown in your screenshot

i was told my range was quite low and that idea was also pretty solidified because i can only sing along to songs sung by tenors mostly and if i try to sing a song by a female artist i always have to sing an octave down which is kinda frustrating
