Elite and 13-14 win player here (15 a couple times last year, none this year yet) and this game absolutely sucks. You’re letting your judgement be clouded by the fact you’re good at the game.

There are so many broken things about this game, I don’t see how anyone can think it’s good.

- Gameplay differences (connection or platform based) - not specific to this year, always been a problem.

- Pinged pass spam halfway across the pitch

- Fidget spinning

- Pace abuse

- Small players (mostly women) bodying strong players

- Attacking AI is braindead

- AI defending is still a thing, so many people just run around with their CDM and it works

- Near post shots are OP, keepers are useless against them

- First time passing, even without Tiki Taka, is absurd this year, which is why 4312 is so OP, you just spam passes between your attackers

And probably more things I’m forgetting. The game is a broken mess, and playing in Elite division against people who are just trying to abuse as many of these as possible is miserable. Won every game this week to get to 30 points and it still sucked having to deal with all these things every game.

Was my formation for the whole of FC26. Phenomenal formation, the CMs attacking from deep are very hard to stop. Currently using 4231(2) this year because I want to use IF Salah as a CAM (Liverpool fan), otherwise I’d be using it again.

Also, I still prefer LM/RM over LW/RW, not sure why everyone says LM/RMs are useless, they work well for me. Personal preference.

Haha same, I love the guy. Gets a lot of stick for failed passes, but it’s because he’s always trying to pass forward. People complain about that and then complain about other players just passing sideways.

Wirtz is some player, can’t believe people doubt him because of G/A. He’s much more of a Thiago than a Coutinho, if he can keep the attacks ticking then someone else will score.

Almost didn’t do it since these are usually horrible, there’s only like 7 or 8 players I’d want from a Max 87… but I got Jaap Stam. 😅 Ridiculous luck

You’ll be fine, you don’t hit the ball with that part of the racket. You should use a plastic protection though, they’re designed specifically to protect that part of the racket when you hit the cage or glass.

The 2024 Barcelona Final for me (Sanz/Nieto vs Coello/Tapia).

The number 1s were on a ~45 match winstreak, and seeing the underdogs come back and win after Coello/Tapia won the 1st set and had 2 match points in the 2nd set was incredible. Was just getting into padel at the time, and it really made me appreciate watching it.

Some people just like older people. I am attracted to people in their 50s/60s, and I’m in my 30s. What am I supposed to do if that’s what I like? Not exactly as if I can choose

IMO the closest one to Modern Family. I love sitcoms and watched a bunch of them, but these both have that “feel good” vibe about them. Sounds stupid if I try to explain it, but I think people who watched them will know what I mean.

I’m not an expert by any means, been playing for less than 2 years and had a ~6 month break when my partner got a serious injury, but I’ll let you know about my recent experience on changing rackets.

As a beginner I really enjoyed my original racket, the Bullpadel Flow Light (2024). Huge sweet spot and great control, both needed when you first start playing.

Lately I’d been a bit frustrated though, since I couldn’t put much spin on the ball and the smashes were lacking power (I lack good technique for kicksmash, so I only go for flat smashes and the ball was coming off the racket too slow).

I did some market research and landed on the Head Gravity Motion, since it was also a control racket, it was basically an upgrade on my previous racket, while keeping the same style. I cannot tell you how good this racket is as an intermediate player and how much it instantly improved my game as a right side player. It’s got a HUGE sweet spot, the control is phenomenal, which makes defending a breeze. And for attacking its rough surface makes it very easy to put spin on the ball for your viboras, dropshots, etc., and despite not being a power racket, you can get some really good power from it.

I watched and read some reviews on it before buying, and it seems to be pretty universally liked (it’s also Andrea Ustero’s racket, one of the best and most versatile players in female pro padel atm, since she can defend impossible shots with it and her smash is very good - this had no sway in my decision to buy it, since I don’t have even 1/1000 of her technique, more so to say that it’s definitely a good racket).

I’m probably in the minority that would like to have him. Yes, I can’t stand him either, but he’s one of those players where you hate him if he plays for someone else, but love if he plays for you. Let’s be honest, we would all absolutely hate Luis Suaréz if he never played for us.

He definitely has an ego, but seems to get along with most teammates (Mbappé’s arrival is what tore that locker room apart imo) and he’s definitely one of the very best LWs in the world. Gakpo is not fit to tie his shoelaces. Rio could be if given time, but definitely not there yet.

My favorites are 2pc Smoke Jumper + 2pc AION Adapter. Both give high DR (the latter only against aoe damage, but a lot of the things that damage you most are aoe, and it lasts 15s).

On damage builds (SES, Celestial and Shards, in my case), I replace AION with Pantheos for Armor Charge on ammo pickup. Works well with Shoot to Loot or Marksman’s Dodge.

My favorite for hard content recently has been Fortune’s Favor with Festival Flight (Slice/Attrition), Yeartide, 1K.

Silence and Squad super w/ Facet of Purpose (Orbs give Frost Armor). Aspects Ascension and Stylish.

Tablet of Ruin artifact with Unraveling Orbs, Horde Shuttle, To Shreds (Festival Flight makes Woven Mail hotspots 24/7), Gold from Lead, Dieletric, Flashover and Particle Reconstruction.

With this you basically cannot die as you have Frost Armor, Woven Mail, Overshield and Amplified ALL the time. Add the pocket nuke that is 1K w/ Catalyst + Particle and you can delete tougher enemies. Build is great at everything, so it’s perfect for people who don’t like loadout swaps too.

I mean, if the 1.4mil is accurate, it’s a steal. He has 9.9/10 playstyles (only thing he’s lacking is pinged). The only downsides are 4 star skills (still fine) and the effort you have to put in to complete him. He’d definitely be 4-5mil+ on the market.

Ignore all the people saying it’s impossible, it is not. But as stated in the top comment, you do have to play every game on Ultimate and win every game by scoring 3+ goals at least. You usually need around 50k points for top 200, and you get between 3000 and 3800 on Ultimate depending on clean sheet, corners, etc. so it’s doable.

However, the improvement in rewards is non existent. I got top 200 during Prem week (the only league I cared about) and got TOTS Rushworth from the pick lol So unless you’re wanting to challenge yourself, doing it for the rewards is not worth it.

I mean, then you have the opposite problem where you can create high xG chances and the opponent gets bailed out by guessing a 50/50 with keeper movement.

Personally I find the biggest problem currently is Precision Shooting. If people want to aim their shots, they should have to use Manual Shooting. Don’t know what the logic was to create a middle-ground between Manual and Assisted just to increase the chance of scoring low xG chances while keeping the difficulty of execution relatively low.

IMO all these gimmicks like timed finishing, precision shooting, etc. are pure BS. Shots from poor positions shouldn’t go in all the time, that’s not what football is about, you should have to carve the defense open, and shots from outside the box should be a “wow, what a goal” moment like in real life, not something that’s expected.

With that being said, they have a much bigger problem, which means they always need some kind of gimmick to be able to score consistently. And that is AI defending. It’s been too strong for ages, if they remove Precision Shooting, it’s going to be incredibly frustrating to play against someone who just runs back with their CDMs.

They really need to find a way to nerf AI defending hard.

I’ve not even played since the new legend came out. lol Was just giving my opinion on how it feels after playing the original version. If you enjoy this, then fair enough, have fun.

I like movement games (Destiny 2 is my most played game with 7k hours, Apex is second with 3k), and Pathfinder and Octane were my main legends, but it doesn’t mean I enjoy them going overboard on the movement. This game has always had great movement even before all these changes (sliding, jumping, climbing, wall jumping, etc. all felt amazing since the start). I just preferred having to go for pure movement characters if you want to play that way, since you have to sacrifice other abilities for it, and it was nice being able to play Gibby without being at a massive disadvantage.

Lmao yeah I remember when Pathfinder was too broken because he’d have his grapple available way too often and, admittedly, having been a Pathfinder main since the game launched, it was a little strong since almost no one else could easily get high ground at the time. Nowadays he feels pointless, got almost no changes while everyone else got giga buffed.

This movement stuff also makes certain abilities absolutely pointless. Oh yeah, Rev can climb further and faster. Cool story bro, everyone else can just jump there.

They’re not all exactly the same, but still far too many characters with unnecessary movement abilities. Octane and Vantage used to be the only ones with a sort of a jump, now other characters can do it as well. Lifeline can glide for some reason. Not sure why Ash got a jump as well similar to Vantage.

There is a massive skill issue on my part here, of course. I used to be good and now absolutely suck at the game after not playing it for so long. But I feel like the simpler times were just way more fun, where you could use slow characters and not feel like you’re a snail because you’re not allowed to double jumps or something. And it’s a big reason why I never get the urge to come back properly and start playing it regularly again.

Yeah ngl I stopped playing for years and every time I decide to have some games, I notice how ridiculously bloated they made this game. For the first few years, every character had a well defined identity. Now almost every legend has some weird double jumps or speed boosts. There was just no need for that.
