and well, the WHO declared obesity as an epidemic and it is indeed a problem.  but doctors argue whether or not obesity directly causes problems, or the things that cause obesity cause problems themselves.  as in, your environment and what you consume.  it is a topic of much discussion in the medical community, as stigma usually makes it hard to talk about it.

it's nothing bad, it's a natural process that takes place every half a million years or so. You might have heard that the Earth's magnetic pole wasn't always like it is now, it used to be reversed in a way that the south was up and the north was down. Well that's what's happening. It may very well disrupt communications and that IS serious, but it's nothing species-threatening and we will likely be able to adapt to it

depends on what arouses you I would say, either someone being fat per se or gaining weight (feet), actively feeding someone to make them gain weight (control), and finally gaining weight yourself, either the 'humilliation' part that is usually portrayed (submission) or the gaining so much weight that you can't do things by yourself and need someone else (relief of obligation)

I interpreted the meme as 'nothing ever changes for the better'. Like there's always been war (especially in the middle east) the USA has always been the same in regards to these issues etc. It was really used too during the elections with this exact meaning I think.
