Ysanne Isard, too
Miserable-Card-2004
Yeah, ngl, kinda felt like the low point of the series. . .

Vader + 3x Stormtrooper Patrol = profit!

"Jajajajaja!" should have been his tagging 😄

Menards has them, too.
Thought about picking one up for decorating my D&D room, but I had planned to have it hanging from the ceiling like it was flying and the bottom looks pretty rough.

Skorch!

Or Apollo 13. . . Or a variety of other movies and TV shows. I agree with you 100%.

Except that he portrayed Neil Armstrong in First Man. Bulky EVA suits have been portrayed in movies before. Hell, they've been portrayed in lower budget TV shows before. I won't pretend that the omission of the Orlan ruined the movie for me, but I did notice it while watching and was disappointed.
Honestly, what really annoyed me most was Grace's constant portrayal as an absolute moron barring the occasional idiot savant moment where he's casually really smart.

Earthcrafters merely move nutrients in the soil to refresh the land for crop production. Imagine not having to spread fertilizer via carts. Just dump it into a hole and earthcraft it around!

Each elemental crafting is limited only by your imagination. Remember, we only see crafting done certain ways. Society has kind of stagnated in Alera, with very little in terms of innovation being done. Everyone seems to have settled into sedentary patterns, which is the big reason Tavi is so unique. He's had to spend his whole life innovating and adapting, and even after he gains furies, he still uses crafting in ways people don't expect (like the fire stones).
As an outdoorsman, I can see many ways to use crafting, such as accelerating sapling growth, reforesting entire swaths of land in order to harvest the timber, or even welding planks together by weaving the fibers into one solid piece. Imagine how easy woodworking would be!

I've done it both ways. Assuming you're using a normal base, it's 30. If you're using a special base with different rules, you'll probably remember what your base's health is. I usually do it counting down, just because that lets me intuitively gauge how badly my base is damaged. But then if your opponent deals heavy damage in one turn, then you gotta do some quick math in your head to figure it out. Or just count each click. Idk.
Really, I think it just boils down to personal preference, and usually my opponent and I figure it out pretty quick which direction we're going. I've played in a regional tournament, and the ref didn't seem to care, just so long as there wasn't any tricky business going on.
If you're just playing for fun, then really rules are just suggestions so long as all players agree. I've let opponents do mulligan if they messed up a turn, even if it ends up costing me. I play to have fun, and I don't enjoy a game if the my opponent isn't also having fun.

There's no such thing as overkill!

I was playing Expeditions: Rome while reading through the middle books and thought it'd be really awesome if someone made a mod for that where you play as Tavi against the Canim
Miserable-Card-2004
Right? Especially when I'm hopping back and forth between Starfield and Helldivers, I needs me a recollect rifle!

I also wish they brought it back. I really don't see the problem with the pilot mechanic, even with leader pilots. It's a glass cannon. I can get the Falcon to insane damage, but it usually gets taken out before I can actually do anything with it. And there are cards with abilities that defeat upgrades including leader upgrades (ie Han). Idk, I think piloting is a strong part of Star Wars. I also think they should have a mechanic that allows you to put an admiral or captain on a capital ship. Just imagine putting Thrawn on the Chimera. . .

Fair enough. I've got some pretty heavy-hitting weaponry (got some Halo weapons via the UNSC Armory (I think)) that did move the health bar noticeably, though still not very much. I guess big part of the reason I want some anti-vehicle weaponry is more the immersion. Shooting at a tank with small arms is . . . well, kind of a bad idea. Though taking one on alone or even with one friend is still kinda stupid 😆
Realistically, I'd kite it back to my ship and yell over the radio for someone to shoot the damn thing with the turrets!
Miserable-Card-2004
I would for sure hang a print of that in my office!

Ya know, I dropped my scrying orb years ago and it just hasn't worked the same ever since. . .
I'd buy a new one, but they're just so expensive these days, and they try to force aetherial intelligence into everything these days, I just can't be bothered.
Idk, I hope it does well overall. I like FFG overall as a company, and enjoy the products they come out with. That being said, my college roommate still plays the OG Star Wars TCG, and that died around The Phantom Menace. The community around it keeps making new, unofficial sets and rules to keep up with new content.

Keep reading. All will be explained more as you go. There are reasons why people like Isana don't use their watercrafting a ton. Tavi is a . . . unique case. You'll learn a lot more about him in future books. I'll say that the books also get a lot better after the first one. Not to say the first wasn't good, but Jim tends to figure out his world-building as he goes and finds his groove after the first book in a series. The first Dresden Files book was pretty rough compared to later entries.

Makes sense.
Surely . . . tech deck? Or even, Tech deck?
