You continue to offer great entertainment and I’m cracking up at the fact that someone can get this butthurt about something as simple as “latency” and then go onto pretend that they’re some smartass, using labels like “fanboy” and ” cosplay”, to drive their moot point home.

I would argue that if something as simple as latency is what’s hindering your work and getting you so riled up, then you have a lot more work to do on building some fucking competence.

And I don’t need to defend my experience or reputation to you, in fact, it’s quite clear that you’re using your absurdly aggressive tone to cover up your own insecurities. Yeah totally feel you, I feel like it’s hard find a good monitor that balances work and entertainment unfortunately.

I personally wouldn’t brother with a built in KVM, I know because I’ve looked for a while. Even if a monitor has it, it’s not really that high bandwidth so it’s not worth it. I had had an old dell with a built in hub and had nothing but latency issues. I’d suggest getting this cheap hub from Amazon: https://a.co/d/dqC2nTW

I have it mounted under my desk and I just push the one button to switch between my PC and Mac.

Coming back to monitors, yeah the burn in thing isn’t fun either. Honestly just gonna wait for MiniLED Ultrawide monitors to become a thing.

I heard from a friend (so no sources here) but apparently Will Smith was absolutely fine with that joke during the rehearsals. So this explanation definitely tracks because he was laughing at the joke moments before, then saw his wife’s reaction and the rest is history.
