The 2008 is the generation after my 2005, so it might not be the same fuel level sender setup as mine but I imagine the fix is very similar

Did you post this problem before on the lancer page? Or previously on the mitsubishi page? I had the same problem and I think I commented on it with a solution. It's an easy fix
