I think the only way to go at it is communication and patience. Of course I don't know the details but it seems like he's too set in his usual ways to really grasp the importance of what you truly need. He's got away with what he's been doing in bed all those years so he's probably thinking you'll start liking it eventually too. I recommend really sitting him down and put some pressure on him. A relationship with a lack of sexual understanding won't last long so there's no need even enter one if he doesn't start satisfying you anytime soon. I know you don't want to hurt his feelings but maybe that's what you need to do to make him understand? Sit him down after dinner, really talk to him and don't be as gentle this time. He's been leaving you feeling like less and that's not okay, no matter if its sexually or anything else. See if any change happens afterwards, that's where you'll really need to be patient. Maybe that is an easier way? You shouldn't have to push yourself to a point of forcing your body to cooperate cause it might even worsen the condition. Knowing and accepting your own body is a path as well that certainly contributes to feeling more comfortable in yourself and in what you are doing. Pelvic floor stretched and exercises can help you find the right position and relax. There is a few videos online that even give you breathing exercises specifically for this! And last but not least, no one is more unsexy because of this condition. Intimacy can come in all kinds of variations. If you have a partner who accepts you like this then any form of intimacy, piv or not, can be good enough for you two. Its all a matter of finding out and exploring.
