Good to hear.

I made a simple stir fry of shrimp, celery, sugar snap peas, and cashews flavored with soy sauce, ginger, green onion, sesame oil, and MSG for this week. I marinated (velveted) the shrimp in baking soda, shaoxing wine, a bit of salt, and a bit of pepper.

It turned out great. These sorts of basic stir fries are always a quick and reliable staple. The cashews were an especially nice addition.

I’ve heard they also have the best burger (according to some on Facebook). Do you agree with that? I’ve never been.

I had some cottage cheese in the fridge and decided to use that for this theme. I attempted to make boiled dumplings, but as you can see, they are pretty misshapen an falling apart.

My dumpling dough was really a batter. It was made from cottage cheese, egg, flour, vital wheat gluten, and salt. I didn’t drain the cottage cheese enough, and I definitely didn’t use enough flour for the liquid level I had. I also should have blended up the cottage cheese some.

Regardless, they tasted pretty good, and there’s definitely potential there. I will be making these properly after I buy more cottage cheese.

Use more salt

For week 39, I made a very thin crust pizza with pears, prosciutto, goat cheese, and black pepper. This was my first time making pizza at home. It was cooked through and crunchy, but it did not get much color.

It did taste great and I’d make it again, just with more pear. My store only had rock hard ones, so I sliced it thinner than I would have otherwise.

Chocolax chip

Pretty much what I expected. That motor is more measly than I thought, though.

Or just don’t eat for a day if you feel like you’ve been eating like crap. A day without food is not that hard.

Looks amazing! I love Claire Saffitz

I went to Romania this past spring and had langoși  three times. After trying it with apricot preserves, nutella and coconut, and cheese and sour cream, I definitely prefer the savoury preparations.

Yours looks delicious!

The sad thing is, it used to be really good.

Yeah I don’t think it’s working on my phone. The wifi used to be excellent, like better than eduroam. I’m going to email the office about it and you probably should too.

Modboi

Yes, but that won’t happen in the US

Pumpkin bread. Really easy if you use a can.

The Spicy Shark “Black Tip Widow” sauce. It’s Thai curry flavored. It’s good and very spicy.

I like Chasewood downs. It’s cheap and the apartment is decent quality. It’s not amazing but I don’t think there is anywhere with a better value. I pay $671 for my half of the rent at a 2 bed 1 bath (includes water, trash, and internet). Electricity is separate and my half of the bill is $40-$75 depending on how cold it is.

Okay, now I understand.

Chop them up, crisp them, and mix them in with scrambled eggs. Make salchipapas. Slice them for sandwiches. Make corndogs.

My most common lunch is cut up meat with mustard to dip it in (deli meat, ham steak, chicken breast, etc.). Along with that I have a decent portion of raw carrots and cucumbers (250-300g total), some pepitas or other nuts, and one Joseph’s low calorie pita.
