I'll let you know when it happens.

No.

Computers exist.

This is just a brag post.

Although to be honest, ask them if that's cool first. LOL.

"It feels like they do it for the content"
"I expect people who play Minecraft for their jobs".
The job is creating content, not playing Minecraft optimally. Frankly, the videos can get a little boring if there's not something left to learn, and yes, sometimes they're playing the game in an organic way instead of making sure they're optimizing every possible thing. I mean, Doc can out-minecraft almost everyone when it comes to technical redstone, but watching him struggle and complain about moving mobs with a Ghast was funny.

Literally says earnings, right there in my comment.
MommotDe
It’s certainly an option. If you want to be very safe, discount your social security earnings estimate by 22%. A lot of people believe it will be fixed. We’ve been here before and they waited until there were only days left to implement a fix. But whether they will or not is kind of unpredictable. I question whether our current politicians would do it. Ultimately, it’s your call. Kind of a toss up if you ask me.
MommotDe
LOL! Just playing off it, but yes!

Ignore them.

They can all evolve into Gholdengo, as long as they don't have the special background.

I had one get over a thousand. Then it was knocked out in the middle of the night, dead of winter off an unplowed gravel road in an area with poor cell data coverage, which leaves snowmobiler, cross country skier, and spoofer as possibilities. I had hoped it would be there until they shut the servers down.

I'm willing to one and done with a remote pass, mainly because I'm not going to be able to do many Mewtwos, if any, and I've got plenty of coins socked away.

This is why this post makes no sense to me. I consider myself a casual player and I hit the limit every day. Doubling the points so you hit the limit faster when you were going to hit it anyway always seemed stupid to me.

Back in the bad old days of gyms, when prestiging was a thing, there was a gym I used to take late at night in a cemetery, just trying to get my coins for the day and there was a guy using bots to take the gym. One night I met up with another trainer by chance and we were both furiously battling this gym. Meanwhile, its prestige was going up, not down and every time we went back in there was another Pokemon in the gym. There was obviously no one around. We took video of our screens and the surrounding area. Someone later figured out this guy had a blog where he explained how to use bots and spoofing to level gyms, complete with screenshots of his own accounts. We ended up submitting all our evidence to Niantic, both video and links to his blog and his public Facebook page, just mountains of evidence. Niantic did nothing. Dude was still at it for years.

This is probably the largest PoGo Discord for the Cincinnati area, I don't know how active they are for in person raids anymore. People got so used to remote raids during COVID that the raiding Discords really dropped off, but you can check it out. discord.gg/qHkSyGs
As I said elsewhere, the Delhi Campfire Group seems to be pretty active for raid days if Delhi is an option for you.
MommotDe
No.
MommotDe
Oh no, I'm entirely hoping people jump in my raids. I'm not spending remote passes on this nonsense, just hoping other people will, which I doubt.
MommotDe
Just thought I'd jump in late to add to the chorus. This even was incredibly stupid. Worst. Raid Day. Ever. If they wanted to do a Furfour raid day, they could have done a Furfrou raid day. Giving us three hours on one day to catch a legendary is bad enough, but then to have it completely washed out of raid spawns by Furfrou and, even worse, Luvdisc? Ridiculous. And of course, for the two raids I managed to get, I couldn't invite anyone because the friends list was broken. To anyone who was excited to get shiny Furfrou, they could have just given wild Furfrou a shiny boost for the event, and then you'd have more. This was a bait and switch and a bugged and broken event.

This is the way the system is supposed to work. If you don't like what they offer, you decline, then you can start again and hope they offer something better or pick something less valuable. Without communication, it's the only way to do it. The problem here isn't how OP tried to trade, it's that there's a bug that's removing lucky status without a trade actually happening. This is a bug that ruins the system they built, not someone using the system "wrong".

Seems to me like either someone is a lawyer, or someone got convinced they needed a lawyer to protect them from a potential lawsuit. And honestly, I'm not a lawyer, but it's possible they actually are opening themselves up to a lawsuit where they are by acting as a community ambassador. I'm sure Scopely isn't going to protect them. That said, in no world would I agree to some random person's massive legal document to get some bonus crap.

I have trouble understanding people who are doing 1 and 3 star raids, unless they're spending a daily pass that's going to waste otherwise. From the start of raids I have basically lamented the relative lack of 5 start raids, because that's basically what I (and most players in my community) want to do. There are occasional exceptions (Machamp and Tyranitar were useful to build teams for higher tier raids, the raid exclusives, and megas) but all of these don't need to take up all the raids. When the raids around me went to basically hosting 5 star raids all day long, I was very happy with the situation. Obviously, some variety is needed for new or lower level players to build teams, or when there's a raid exclusive in an event it makes no sense for it to never actually appear on a gym, but no one needs garbage one stars with common spawns in them and no one wants 5 stars to be gone entirely. My situation isn't a complete drought, but it keeps changing. One day I get all the legendaries I can raid. Then a week of 1 and 3 stars and my passes go to waste. I have no idea what I'm going to wake up to and whether raids will even allow me to use my daily. I don't know how much is the AI and how much is just bad decisions, but this isn't a complicated solution. A reasonable rotation can be made in a few minutes by anyone with any though. It doesn't take AI to fix this.
It has nothing to do with your probability of getting a shiny in general. Everyone has the same chance. All the exploit does is allow people using other methods to cheat to find Pokemon that will be shiny for them. This isn't accurate to how it works, but for a huge oversimplification think of it this way: every wild spawn is generated with a random number attached. If that random number matches the seed for your friendship code, and you encounter that Pokemon, it will be shiny. But the odds of any given seed matching any given Pokemon are always the same (for given global shiny rate, etc). This means that at any given spawn time, there will be some Pokemon, somewhere in the world, that if you could encounter them, would be shiny. This doesn't affect legit play in any way, and it doesn't give you any way to improve your shiny odds.
