Nonsense. Nosferatu and The Lighthouse are the clear standouts. The VVitch really impressive in many ways, but it is so obviously hamstrung by the low budget and you can just feel it straining against those limits and aches to be bigger in scope. It is easy to understand why Eggers dislikes it.

I'm a big 30 Rock fan, but there are definitely some mediocre episodes in there.

Reverse sear. Ta en eller ett par skivor nötkött (t ex entrecote eller ryggbiff) som ska stekas i stekpanna. Börja med att salta och lägg in i airfyern på låg temperatur (65-80 grader) och kör till innertemparturen är 40-45 grader (ca 20-30 minuter för mig). Lägg sedan direkt i stekpanna och stek klart. Vanligtvis gör man det här i en ugn, men eftersom airfryern snabbt torkar ytan på en bit kött så får man i min mening en bättre stekyta fortare.

I got hit by this today. In Sweden, mackerel i tomato sauce is super popular and they are sold everywhere in three-packs wrapped in red plastic. When I was at grocery store today, I bought one of these red packages, since I haven't had mackerel for a few months, but it wasn't until I got home and looked a bit more closely at the package that I realized that it wasn't european mackerel, but chilean jack mackerel (Chilensk taggmakrill in Swedish or Trachurus murphyi). It does pretty clearly say chilean jack mackerel, but "mackerel" was in a much bigger font than "chilean jack" and the package looked exactly like a normal package of mackerel. It's not the end of the world though; I'm always up for trying something new, but it is definitely more than a bit shady.

While this is probably the most likely explanation, his big overcoat actually did make his silhouette look a bit like the front of a boat.

Please stop saying that mutton or goat taste gamey. Gaminess is a very distinct and sometimes strong flavour that the meat of many different types of wild animals share. You can find it in wild boar, in moose and other type of deer and even in wild fowl such as pheasants and mallards. Considering how distantly related these animals are to each other, the flavour probably comes from the diet, and farmed animals don't have it (even farmed deer often don't have it or it is very weak).

Goat and sheep can also have a strong and distinct flavour, but it is very different from the one you find in game meat. I don't really know what it is called, "muttony" is probably good, but gamey is clearly wrong. On top of this, while goat tastes similar to sheep, they have their own flavour that also comes through strongly in goat cheese.

Finally, I want to say that in recent years I feel that both game and mutton had become less flavourful, and that is very sad. Often I've bought some deer or mutton and it tastes barely any different from beef or veal. If I buy these types of meat I want these bold flavours, and often I pay extra to get it, so it is very disappointing when it's just bland.

I feel that movie theaters have come up with an ingenious solution to noisy people. They simply turn up the volume so high that you need to wear earplugs to avoid hearing damage, and with earplugs you can't hear the other movie goes. Pretty clever solution I'd say, because I always have to wear earplugs these days and I can't hear anything else going on in the theater.

Defoe's character is Swiss, not Swedish.

Not a sequel, but "Blade". I was never a huge fan, but when rewatching it recently I was surprised how much I liked it. Compared to many action movies these days, which are overloaded and exhausting, Blade came off as a lean, focused, stylish and engaging movie made by professionals, rather than something focus-grouped to hell.

What are you talking about? These are probably the type of mushrooms that are most suitable for drying. I'd say they're better dried than fresh and miles better dried than frozen.
