DD2 is a great game, archer class is a lot of fun. You will want to try all the classes, kinda how the game is designed.
There is also a Magick Archer class, a spellcasting archer. Super cool.

Crimson Desert. It really doesn't hold your hand, gives you some basic tools and then sets you free in the sandbox. Tons of puzzles with no hints.

The saves are limited for immersion and content, so each save is isolated rather than having a batch save like in Starfield or other RPG's.

So to answer you and the OP, yes. NG+ completely resets the world state. So, make a save before jumping unity, then make a save IN the unity, before walking into the thingy. Then quit, disable mods, load unity save and walk through.
