For real! It can be disheartening at times but then again, not everyone wants it as much as you. I get people excited to go, then they change their minds last minute. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Are you talking for whitetail/mule deer around sage junction? That sounds like the area by Rexburg, 63A.

Thank you! Been doing lots of e-scouting looking for the best access. I might go and scout it one more time before the season opens.

The area where I’m targeting has a lot of motorized trails, so I’m targeting those area that are as far away as possible from these and hike them from the backside as much as possible.

It’s sad to read this but I get it. Sounds like you need someone to motivate you. A partner that is young with lots of energy.

I’m new to hunting in general this year. I’ll be 38. My daughter is 8. She’s excited but I have no idea what I’m doing. I wish I had a mentor, a dad, or grandfather to teach me but here I am—-figuring it out on my own. My biggest motivation? Her.

Hope you find someone to mentor. There’s LOTS of people out there willing to be taught…including me.
