3 second follow distance. It's recommended so that you can have time to react and stop even if the car in front stomps on their brakes. This is that in real emergencies, someone can react and stop safely without getting rear-ended.
If I have some asshole drive on the shoulder and cut me off like that, I am immediately slowing down and backing off.
Obviously this is the car in front's fault, but defensive driving isn't meant to keep you from being at fault. It's meant to keep you away from accidents altogether.

You do realize that even in private loans, the lessor still has to pay tax on the interest gained, right?
Private transactions can still be subject to governmental regulation.
A lessor could be required to validate that assets used as collateral have been appropriately taxed.
Pretending that this is impossible is how the rich keep getting richer and the workers keep getting poorer.

Wow! Another Christian repeating the same shit that has been being said since Jesus died.
Don't worry, your sect is the one right one and the thousands of others are all heresy.
You're not also in a cult that picks and chooses what it wants to believe from incomplete and cherry picked texts from thousands of years ago.

I didn't blame fia/fom. The teams will vote on anything that they think may benefit them. That doesn't make it good for the sport.

Except Fox and OAN aren't news networks. They are conservative propaganda networks.
Don't you see how such statements are easily used by either side to push their narrative?
You justifying their exclusion because they are "propaganda networks" will just pave the way to Dems excluding conservative outlets with the precedent that they are just propaganda.

Hey, I'm just entering the discussion to say daily use that completely changes how you behave isn't recreational. I'm not saying it was an addiction, as it sounds he got off it on his own terms pretty simply, but reliance comes in many forms.
I'm happy for your guy, and I hope your new normal brings you all the joy in the world.

I have people organize events for me, and they let me know they are more important than everyone at the event anyway.
Nobel Laureate keynote? Couldn't speak without the event coordinator.
Albany Prize winning doctors? Couldn't demonstrate without the event coordinator.
Honestly some of the most audacious accommodation requests have come from event coordinators.
"I need the penthouse because we'll use it for staging"
"I know we'll have trucks, but my rental needs to be a 3 row SUV just in case I need to move stuff"
Now I have to worry about them demanding beautiful, two-tone, handmade clipboards.

No, clearly it's the 2013 movie staring an Australian and a German-Spaniard about a Brit racing for a British team and an Austrian racing for an Italian team in F1.

That makes a lot more sense.

No, Hitler had many Americans at least that he respected. Charles Lindbergh and Henry Ford are some specific examples. It was a racial thing, not a linguistic thing.

Outgrow him? As if he's a too small t-shirt that shrunk in the wash? Life isn't about finding someone who can provide the exact same as you. My wife was a teacher and I'm a software engineer. When I started making enough that her income wasn't needed, she quit and started working at a charity nonprofit instead.
I can't fathom the thought of outgrowing her just because I have a high earning job and she doesn't. We grow and learn and change together. I love that she can pursue a much more meaningful job than I can.

Commercial aircraft startups like JetZero are doing a defense version first, supersonic commercial startups like Boom get defense money for government executive travel, electric aircraft startups like you said.
Virtually anything aerospace related in America is funded or subsidized by the US gov.

Yeah. That's the point. The wars in the Middle East didn't prevent any violence. They exacerbated and escalated violence. Americans feeling bad about killing civilians there makes sense.
The US didn't start WW2. The nukes prevented far more violence from occuring. At least those guys can say they saved lives and suffering compared to the alternative.

I don't need to visit a subreddit to get context. I spent years of my life listening to the real thing. You can disagree all you want. You can't change reality.

I’d have kids with a man who’s home to help me raise them, and maybe who makes more money than me so he can pay a nanny.
As the kid of a career military man, I'm all for the first part of this.
The second part is real weird though. You make 250k, but your partner would need to make more and have to pay for the nanny?
That feels awfully transactional. Either you want kids and work together with your partner to raise them, or you don't want kids.
It just sounds like you don't want kids. I would stop acquiescing to this mans requests and freezing eggs and just cut it off.
If it gives you any hope, my wife and I are child-free, in our thirties, and enjoy our freedom and cats. You'll find your cat dad soon.

Yeah, no reason should be needed. Don't send DM's to random women that aren't requesting them. Lesbian or otherwise.

A red card typically comes with a one match (sometimes more) suspension for the player. The team must play a man down during the game in which the red card is given, but subsequent games they do not need to do this.

That's so antithetical to American Democracy. It's vile. The idea that American presidents should be lauded for their fame above all else is disgusting.
Presidents are civil servants. Not celebrities. They are well known because of the station of their office, which derives from the mandate given from the people. We should not be recognizing them for their fame, but for their accomplishments in achieving what their constituents need and want.

It's 100% monetization. Platforms are so scared they will lose advertisers if the wrong words are used. It's so stupid because then you just lose control of the situation even more.
Once you start banning well known words, people come up with replacements faster than you can ban them. It's harder to find them than if you had just left it alone to start with.
It also adds a level of disconnection between what is trying to be relayed and the actual words or replacements they are using.
Unalive doesn't mean dead in my head. It means not alive. Rocks aren't dead, they just aren't alive. Water isn't dead, it just isn't alive.
I have to make PDFs regularly at work. It would never cross my mind that people are using that to represent sex predators.

That doesn't come across as Russian propaganda to me. It comes across more like a statement intended to damn the Russian soldiers as willing volunteers rather than forced conscripts.
Obviously Putin is the worst because it's his war, but the volunteers aren't innocent either.
Hey! The French Revolution was famously peaceful.
There aren't over a dozen separate "Massacres" that occurred and were perpetrated by the French against others in France, normally other French people but with the notable addition of the Swiss Guards in the mix. That never happened.
Certainly no Reign of Terror occurred.
