I think sprints should function Tour de France style across all sprints. There is one quali at the start of the season to set starting order of the first race and maybe a second quali after the summer break. Each sprint race has starting position set by the finishing order of the previous sprint. Overall finishing position for the total set of sprints is set by cumulative time across all sprints. The cumulative sprint race is awarded 2x as many points as a single GP and the winner is not known until the last sprint of the season.

If you DNF, you receive the time of the worst finisher of that sprint, or maybe the average of the bottom half of finishers. That could be tweaked to find a fair solution.

There’s also significantly less wear when the cars have burned off most of their fuel. Maybe the engineers believe the softs will hold up better with the cars this light.

Once you open a DP slot, you need to fill that slot. Outside of Driussi, have we had any DPs markedly better than Uzuni? Maybe Bukari? We’ve had a lot of mediocre-bad DPs. I don’t think there’s a good chance we would actually replace him with a better.

Not every DP can or will be a Driussi.

For every € you invest in nuclear you could have had 4x as much solar power. And this summer has highlighted that “sometimes the sun doesn’t shine” just isn’t as strong an argument in favor as nuclear when we can run out of water to cool nuclear with. Since solar is 25% the cost per MWh of nuclear, that still leaves 75% of what you would have spent on nuclear to build batteries, which improve the effectiveness and cost-efficiency of ALL sources of electricity.

The strong arguments to prefer solar over nuclear aren’t based on atomic fearmongering. It’s a question of economics that is leaning harder and harder in favor of solar.

I’m getting a little tired of this take. The past few games have shown pretty clearly that Uzuni thrives in a different role than Vasquez. Uzuni is not a classic 9 but more of a 9.5. Choosing to force him to play as a second 9 beside Vasquez was Nico’s fault, not Rodo’s.

Uzuni has shown that with a proper holding 9 ahead of him (Ramirez), he slots in perfectly in the 10/9.5 role.
