As someone that loves the 'journey' it breaks my heart that we seem to be entering an era where all the challenges of life, aka the actual trial and error of trying and failing until something works is over. I know sometimes we just need the results and don't care about the nuts and bolts, but man that's where the joy for me is. I love hyperfocusing on random scripts or issues and being able to work my way through the steps to figure it out even if it's at the expense of 'optimal' or 'efficient'

I'm a 90's kid, but I was always astounded at my grandparents ability to navigate pretty much anywhere they wanted without needing a navigation system or a map. Like they just know where something is directionally and they can point their car in that direction and start driving and eventually find their way to their destination.

I was talking to my mom recently after I (32M) found some old elementary school parent teacher conference reports. I had seen some comments a teacher wrote down basically begging my mother to medicate for ADHD because apparently I was bouncing off the walls and disruptive. I don't know if it's whether she downplayed their experiences, or thought 'well teachers aren't doctors, they can't just prescribe a kid to start taking meds', or if she simply thought that all young boys are hyper but she never gave it a second thought. I wound up not being quite gifted, but I did well academically for most of my schooling years which sorta reinforced her thinking that I couldn't have this condition. I grew up with really bad self esteem, I have paralyzing anxiety, and I deal with a lot of shame related issues. After some therapy and medications and self-reflection I'm slowly starting to unravel how a lot of the things I struggle with are exasperated because of ADHD. I guess I'm maybe a case study in that you can have ADHD but still have the external metrics of a 'successful life' like having a respectable job, having special interests, having friends, but you're internally dealing with so much shame and hurt that most people can't understand.

me having the luxury of being able to be spontaneous but choosing to sit and rot in front of a computer lol. Squandered so much precious time and didn't realize it.

I guess my question is how are people affording these? Surely the average citizen in Wisconsin isn't able to afford this, but yet the games will still be sold out. Is it just businesses and the wealthiest folks buying up all the tickets? Or am I just completely out to lunch and people either have the spare 'change' or are going into large amounts of debt for a single ball game?

I would rather have games that are designed and made fully by people than created by AI. Even if it means we have to wait longer and even if the games produce less 'shareholder value' and especially even if it means the games are flawed and have bugs. I want every single last drop of human element in the art I consume.

Read lots of fiction!! So many people are only reading 'self-help' books or books written by stoics and it's like there's such a wonderful world of books out there to immerse yourself in beyond these.

Honestly, I made the mistake of counting them out down 2-0 to the CWS so I know you can never truly write this team off

We didn't have a single hitter hit 20 home runs for us this year. Angel Martinez led our team with what, 17? I think Rocchio had the most RBIs and it was less than 80. For most of the season it felt like a generationally awful offense.

I would honestly be challenging your leader(s) by allowing y'all to operate in an environment where your employees can simply say 'I don't know how' and not being held accountable to learn the required skills. It's okay that y'all have had to make some hard choices and switch environments completely, It's okay that they need to be trained, but it's not okay for them to put the entire burden of 'training' them on you while also expecting you to fully rearchitect and support everything.

It's sad considering when the games come to Cleveland Progressive Field will be absolutely packed to the brim

Ms3_Weeb

excuse me, 1 RBI since the 3rd week of August? holy schmoly

Ms3_Weeb

It's so heartbreaking seeing other teams' star players delivering big hits, and it seems like for us Jose hasn't really ever had that moment in the post season. Really rooting for him to get a big hit today to keep the season alive

Ms3_Weeb

Our number 1-5 hitters are 4-36 in two games which is a crisp .111 BA. To say that's not good enough isn't even doing it proper justice.

Ms3_Weeb

Thank god I don't have to watch David Fry swing a bat today

Ms3_Weeb

It feels like you almost gotta score 4 or 5 runs against this white sox team to have a good chance of winning they way they swing the sticks.

Ms3_Weeb

I was sleeping on Superheaven, absolutely phenomenal band!

Ms3_Weeb

could there be any two more deserving teams to be in this spot with the way this season went?

Ms3_Weeb

we are eating so good this year guys

not sure if it's the case for you, but on my mazda3 the rubber brake line on one of my wheels needed to be replaced because it starting smoking like this after driving in the heat. The line basically deterorates and doesn't hold it's rigidity so it basically compresses in on itself and restricts the flow of brake fluid which leads to excessive heat.

as someone that had a great time with the game and other games from that same developer the until dawn movie was such a massive L. How can you add an entire mechanic that literally didn't exist in the game.

Ms3_Weeb

Duuude and the way he reacted when she puts the cat on the floor in the kitchen as a sort of 'shrine' and he does not go off on her at all, he just tells her it's fucked up.

Ms3_Weeb

ah shucks, who would've thought the guy with main character syndrome would be capable of such heinous things

Ms3_Weeb

Local grocery stores in my area in rural ohio are advertising 'deals' on GB at 5.99/lb

Ms3_Weeb

I love that he gets a little blankey
