My favorite are the pallets coming straight from China that have 2000 lbs of material stacked 7 feet tall with one shitty layer of stretch wrap fighting for its life.

Literally every time one of those trucks backs into the dock, either somebody nearly dies pulling em out or it looks like a bomb went off when the door lifts.

I produce music as well. On the specs side, this is more than enough. You might want to consider your peripherals though, as having a decent set of headphones or speakers is going to do a lot for you. I run a pair of DT770 PRO 80 Ohm headphones into a small USB amp and they sound awesome for both music production and gaming.

If you're looking to record vocals as well, it's worth grabbing a nice mic setup and treating your room a bit acoustically. Flame retardant foam panels are relatively cheap online and work wonders for cutting down on reverb in your room. A nice bonus to this is that you'll also have the best sounding comms in discord if you're playing with friends.

I have fond memories too. My girlfriend and I are always looking for local multiplayer games to play on the couch and it definitely isn't what it used to be.

As for the physics, I'm not sure if it would or not. To be honest, I've never worked with vehicle physics in a game, but I imagine if there were any differences between the player's car and the NPC's cars, it might lead to some wonky situations if two player cars collided.

It could be (and probably would be) a non-issue, it's just an idea I had.

I'm a software dev.
The reality is that it probably wouldn't be too terribly difficult to throw together a basic splitscreen feature, but it's inclusion adds a lot of additional work after the fact for little return.

For one, games today primarily put the entire focus on optimizing the game for just one camera. It's to the point where nearly every AAA game nowadays just doesn't render anything outside of the players view.

The moment you start adding more cameras you need to render more stuff. On consoles the framerate is probably barely hovering above the target framerate as it is because they've likely pushed the graphics as hard as they could. Now they need to either put work into optimizing the game during splitscreen or accept that the framerate is going to suffer leading to complaints of poor performance.

On top of that, you now have a load of additional testing that needs to be done. It might not be difficult to throw together a local multiplayer feature, but you can never be sure that doing that isn't going to introduce a heap of problems.

The AI likely needs to be changed, physics might need to be adjusted, the HUD might need to be rewritten. All of this and more is in the context of an entire game that needs to be gone back over whenever a change like this is made.

If they planned from the beginning to include splitscreen as an option they could avoid a lot of these problems, but it's always a question for them as to if it's worth it. The reality of it is that they've likely found that local co-op doesn't do much to push sales for Need for Speed, and they aren't going to spend time working on a feature that <10% of players might use when they're probably already rushed to release it and could use that precious development time polishing what they do have.

It sucks, but that's what it is. Even if it was easy to include, it doesn't matter to them if it doesn't give them a return.

It's not a fun answer, but that's what it is. Nowadays people primarily play either online or alone. Only a select few games like Mario Kart allocate dev time into including it because not having splitscreen would actively hurt sales.

This might just be the worst writeup I've ever seen on this topic. Congratulations.

I struggled with music for years trying to get signed and was rejected time and time again. I was at my breaking point. My finger was hovering over the uninstall prompt for my cracked version of Fruity Loops 2.

That all changed when you uploaded this single snare sample onto YouTube.

After putting it in my latest riddim banger, my phone has been blowing up with calls all night from the likes of Skrillex, Steven Cymatics, and Deadmau5... all begging me to join their label. Virtual Riot personally emailed me to ask how I got such a fat snare.

From the bottom of my heart OP, thank you.

GrandPooBear just witnessed Randy Orton RKO so fucking hard that it crashed his PS4 mid-stream.

Oh shit! I remember playing the original back in the day. Excited to see the full release.

Ooooor the majority of us Americans just play the games with no issue and laugh at a guy who simply can't fathom that other countries drive differently.
This isn't an American thing, this is a 'dipshit can't adapt to something simple' thing.

MyUserNameIsRelevent

It is.

Do you have a link to the track? I'm having a hard time understanding what you mean by water sound effect.
Does it sound muffled? If so it could just be some bad compression by whatever you're uploading it to.

Dude zero tolerance is the reason this is a terrible decision. If you're gonna get punished either way, you might as well try not to get your ass kicked.

I would give it a shot and peek at any new updates on tweaks for that game on the pcsx2 wiki.
Though, there is one thing that I think is just specific to that engine because I saw it on both 3 and 4. Certain enemy models will half the framerate and despite my tweaking I couldn't pass around 45 fps.
Though that was with an i7 3770 so you might have better luck.

You wanna hear some crazy shit?
Last time I was sitting playing Minecraft with my girlfriend, her 6 year old brother was trying to give me advice on how to play. (He's only played once or twice, but it's cute.)
So I jokingly say, "Boy, I've been playing Minecraft longer than you've been alive!"
And then a few seconds later I realized that was 100% true.
You wanna talk about something that fucks me up, it's that.
Also one of my friends was born in 2001 and that sometimes is crazy to me. Growing up I never talked to anyone born after 98 or so.

MyUserNameIsRelevent

Seriously. None of the top comments seemed off topic, what the hell happened?

Keep in mind that going out and having hobbies that keep you active has the benefit of making you a more well rounded person.
Somebody once said to me that to stay healthy and well-rounded you should have a creative hobby, an intellectual hobby, and a physical hobby. I think it's pretty solid advice that works for me. Maybe not for everyone though.
