I’ve been listening to Mile higher for a couple years and have really loved them but I was listening to it tonight at work and thought “Josh really likes to mansplain and also act like he’s the smartest person in the room…. That bothers me. I wonder if it bothers anyone else?” So here I am lol. But I was listening to the Amanda Antoine episode and Josh acted like he was a forensic scientist who knew everything about physics and it was like no matter what anyone said he had to be the one with the correct answer. Like he said “I’m soooo glad they brought in a bioengineer for this because, blah blah blah” and Ian said “well none of us are bioengineers here but,” and it really solidified for me that Josh is just an overbearing asshole. I’ve loved them for so long but I really think I might have to just stop keeping up with them because I just get too annoyed with Josh and his need to be the smartest person in the room. On top of how he speaks to Kendall.
I’ve also noticed they tend to just take cases from whatever documentary series is popular right now. I was really into the docuseries Never Seen Again on Paramount and it’s like they literally just took a handful of those episodes and went over them like they found the cases themselves and did all this research when literally they just copy and pasted what the episodes said/represented.

My snowshoe/siamese girl gets aggressive on catnip. Not to this degree lol but she gets bitey/snappy with me so I only give it to her on occasion. She likes it and after the aggression passes she’s zonked but it’s like dealing with a feral toddler

It takes time but it gets better. After my DUI I had to buy a bike off Facebook marketplace and ride it at midnight for the graveyard shift at the Circle K. Broke, ashamed, sad, embarrassed, and convinced I was bound to be a slime ball bum for the rest of my life. It’s been almost two years now, I have my dream job, going through school, an apartment, a wonderful partner, just got a new car with a VALID license lol. It fucking sucks and it’s hard but you’ll get there. And you’ll come to find more people have DUI’s than you’d think. I was terrified of not getting the job because of it, little did I know half the office have DUI’s (not saying it’s okay- but it’s life man. People fuck up and do stupid shit.). Give it some time, take a deep breath, buckle down and go through this little rough patch and use it to improve yourself. I’m here if you need support. I was in the very same subreddit after my charge making posts just like yours. I promise it’s not going to ruin your life.
