I was told my next breath would be my last… (self.fifthworldproblems)

Use tokens & make a fan game! I’m sure you’ll get a few potential playtesters
Also is the cremposting sub the best Cosmere related sub for this?
Nathan256
That sounds like it could be the name of a preservative tbh
Nathan256
Ps thought the question was, what did we play as for each of these and wrote up a whole nice reply trying to remember each of my tags I played.
So here it is since it took me so long.
David - Hungary. Also got the Great Moravia achievement during that one.
Marshy march I think I did the recommended one? Miiight have been my Timurid run where I released that one tag on the gulf, can’t remember
Power of Three, Angevin Kingdom (England start)
Foul Mouthed iirc was Commonwealth (Poland) while waiting for 1821
Black jack also Poland. I was HRE emperor and owned most of mainland Europe, I wanted to knock out Voltaire’s Nightmare, so I released a bunch of client states, then also fed a few to get Blackjack.
Can’t remember on cowardly tactics either. Maybe Hungary? I knocked out a bunch of random ones on that run.
Haven’t done god tier yet. Go figure. Probably I’ll do Protestant Saxony during my Porcelain achievement, spread the reformation across the HRE, etc
Nathan256
Muscovy -> Russia, release Georgia for the achievement? Or Byz, same thing?
Nathan256
You should be good, cripple the ottomans and maybe take the Maghreb at least if not parts of Iberia too, just to get going on the Europe situation. Maybe cripple GB and make Poland release Lithuania while you’re doing wars in the west.
Try annexing an Indian or SEA vassal for immediate visibility into Eastern Asia too. Better than spending vast amounts of prestige and stuff

Correct and Op has two fabulous forts there, both in defensive terrain iirc, park your main stack in edirne so you have river crossing defense bonus if they pick that, if they pick either of the forts then go attack them there, and if they pick that northern province whos name I can’t read, grab Constantinople back real quick and have defender bonus again.
Have 60 or so infantry divided across a few reinforcement stacks a couple provinces away and move them close and trickle feed them once you’re engaged. Roll a couple new generals if you have good army tradition to see if you get a better one too.
Nathan256
They’re way over combat width, you can beat them with a good army & proper reinforcements.
Get your army up to force limit, grab a merc company or two, make sure your stacks are well sized and win
Nathan256
Germany is an end game for a ton of tags, Portugal’s achievement requires starting as portugal
I have about 60% of achievements and I don’t have the Portugal one
Nathan256
Her Vulcan blood must be Boi’Lynn
Nathan256
The DM took over your character and distributed your items across the rest of us. Your character did it in character, so, ts
Nathan256
Hoid Amaram for sure

Very strong up til the last two paragraphs. I know the ai is an ai, but it’s so well characterized up til that point, then its dialog just turns wooden.
It’s also not clear if the doctor was… trying to mislead the ai? If we’re switching into his perspective for the last paragraph I’d assume it’s for a reveal, and I’d assume based on that paragraph that he’s trying to mislead, but it doesn’t quite flow.
Nathan256
Wow that last line gave me actual chills. Excellent cutoff point. I like the… monster? Villain? The monster we never see (completely) is scarier than the monster we do.
Not sure if the opening is right? It’s not bad but it is low-oomph compared to the back half of the story. Maybe start with the paragraph “I wasn’t supposed to be here.” That one raises far more questions, hooks you a lot better, and introduces the plot
Nathan256
Turtles all the way down
Nathan256
Devving usually isn’t worth it just to get taxes, it’s based on stacking benefits and reducing penalties
Nathan256
My tutorial mostly consisted of getting really good at funneling and increasing trade. Only recently I’ve been figuring out how to do a mostly taxation based snowball, which is super important for snowballing in India or China where trade leaks very bad
Nathan256
Well now that you mention it I have been buying more cosmic background radiation supplements…
Nathan256
Wow can’t believe I didn’t think of that! Actually I’ll improve on your idea, I’ll put it in cryostasis, should last long enough as long as I can keep up with those pesky subscription fees!
Know any reliable cryostasis places? Preferably ones with good visiting hours
Nathan256
Oh I absolutely love necrophage tankbound, on top of being fantastic because necrophages have bonuses to specialist jobs and penalties to worker jobs, you “ascend” to higher life while your meager body is sustained by its vessel. Also one potential answer to the fertility question. The roleplay plays itself!
Nathan256
Mixing up the past, present and future gets tense
Nathan256
Well unfortunately the Eldritch Government has affirmed that AI clones are “likeness” and someone’s likeness is their property so, legal, no.
The Ethics Committee is in the midst of a ritual to contact Those Beyond and question Their enlightened and terrible verdict on the subject. I wouldn’t rush them… last time ended poorly.
However there’s a loophole. Someone’s soul has not been ruled a “likeness,” and there’s very good precedent on our side to keep it that way. So if we cloned these peoples souls, then stuffed them all in new bodies, we’d be getting the best of all worlds. Granted, if we use the most available bodies, ie corpses or manufactured ones, the soul clones will be in terrible agony for their entire existence, but think of the good we can do! Think of the jokes we can tell!
Nathan256
Synthetic fertility anyone?
Or maybe it’s the final act of their pitiful, painful existence - crawl out of their shattered shell, leave a few lonely eggs for some equally decrepit male to come fertilize, and pray the next generation might suffer just a little less…
I specifically went and searched out a wand of lightning bolts in a guild style group I played with. I only played about half the one shot based sessions so I watched enemies like a hawk for anyone grouped in a good line, which the main DM often gave me by mistake or on purpose. It was glorious. Also if I knew I could get a good recovery between sessions, there was NOTHING like dropping a max level lightning bolt on someone. Totally different aura from a max fireball.
I remember one session in particular, I dropped a darkness on my sword (hex blade/shadow soul sorc so I could see through it) and soloed the surprise turncoat end of session boss while my spell slot deprived counterparts fought his henchmen. I had used no lightning that game, and because that character was an in character aura farmer that also had a super strong hate for turncoats (trauma from past sessions and his backstory), I waited for a turn where I could get in close after a couple good hits, then banished my darkness, stared straight into his eyes, put my wand under his chin and lit up a ninth level lightning bolt like a beacon straight through his brain and up into the clouds. Iirc the last two henchmen surrendered.
