Reddit is funny. I reposted sincethe title of my initial post contained a spelling error. First post gained 20 upvotes, this one has downvotes and only sour comments.

Because this sub is an echo-chamber of people hyping each other up, that’s why.

None of the other themed areas is so filled to the brim with little references as this one though. Even on par with the Efteling!

Did you also see the cars wrapped with Zootopia characters etc? But it’s strange how random characters, like Pingu, obtain some cult-like status and are suddenly featured on everything from blind boxes to umbrellas. The same for handsome squidward. 

It’s in Shanghai! Currently the only Disneyland with a Zootopia-themed area.

Indeed, all i see is posts categorically claiming how this Dumbledore, Snape etc will be the best we’ve ever get, ready to throw away the movies with yesterdays’ garbage. It seems hard to voice a more nuanced opinion/critique a single aspect without jumping on the loveboat or hatetrain. 

Which means the one on the upper floor shits on… oh no!!

Ended up staying in this guesthouse because of its proximity to Disneyland Shanghai (no Bund views this time!). Each of the rooms of this suburban house-turned-airbnb had a different theme and we were lucky enough to spend the night in the christmas-/log cabin-room. A tad tacky but cozy nonetheless, and an interesting contrast with the hot and humid Shanghai summer. Still, i prefer the real deal and can’t wait to return to Europe this winter and spend some time hiking near and staying in mountain villages like Zakopane.

That’s actually a very good way of putting it! Every state is so diverse it’s hard to categorize India as this “slumlike hellhole” or this “mountaineous wonderland”. 

It’s just so funny to me that a lot of people on this sub base their opinion on the country pictured instead of on the actual picture itself. People who defend India are portrayed as “an army of Indian bots” while people agreeing with its hellishness are called out as “racists”. Let’s appreciate Shimla for what it is: a touristy, beautifully located and overall liveable small city with its own issues.

I think you’re underestimating how many parts of India have a similar architectural style/setting/urban layout. The vast majority of Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, some parts of the Northeastern “seven sisters”-states and perhaps even Ladakh and Kashmir aren’t anything like the hot, crowded, slumfilled-hellhole you imagine India to be. So a way larger area than 0.1%!
