I get silence mode for a few minutes and then the spider-sense starts tingling to let me know there is some serious shit about to happen.
NeonBison
Sup brah

What you have posted there is almost certainly not scotch anyway. It's too dark, so it's most likely bourbon.
NeonBison
Defender? I barely know her!
NeonBison
Honestly, I never understood fist of havoc... but then it struck me.
NeonBison
i think you mean 5/7, perfect score.
NeonBison
Ok ok, SO - movable bubble centered on you, but enemy players cannot enter. So you roll up to them capturing a flag and punt them all off!!!!
NeonBison
Bungie, hire this man.
Edit: or woman.

Every time someone bumps me, I go flying. Whenever I try to bump them, my nose tilts up and I lose all control. If I hit a rock, my nose tilts up and I lose control. The physics have not been easy to adapt to.
NeonBison
I don't mind how it currently is since the ability isn't taken away when you hit but don't kill. All other classes that have a talent that activates on kill lose that ability if they hit but do not kill the target (the warlock's health regen from the void punch, for example).

Make it an entire grapefruit in under 5 minutes. Grapefruits are disgusting.

Same kind of people who shit on starbucks for making a fucking cup.

I will certainly not fault your desire to play a harder game. It's the game you like to play and that's perfectly fine. The problem is that AAA games need large financial backing in order to be made; accordingly, they need to rake in the most possible players spending money on the game to even support it being made. The hardcore community is therefore mostly marginalized in today's market.
But bungie is actually following a tried and true method of satisfying both hardcore and casual players. In WoW, new content would be released that would only be doable by the hardcore crew, and then that content would be nerfed on a regular schedule to bring new players into those encounters. In Titanfall, you could not "prestige" without completing some insanely hard challenges. After awhile, those challenges were nerfed and then people were given the opportunity to spend in-game points to bypass those gates. Here, bungie made the HM raid which apparently only 2-3% of the population has completed. Instead of nerfing that content, they are effectively making it easier by giving out max level drops to people from some pretty easy "challenges." So in a way, HM is the original challenge and the challenge modes are the scheduled nerfs. Take pride in yourself if you were able to complete HM at approx. 310 LL. That shit is hard.

I had given up trying to complete Oryx HM. It just wasn't happening for my group, and the real loot I'm after (primary weapons) doesn't drop from other bosses, so I stopped raiding altogether. Knowing that I'm going to get four pieces of great gear for a relatively simple fight is refreshing. I won't have the disappointment of only getting mouldering shards from a HM boss. I'll be able to go in and say "this is what I'm going to get for completing this." I like that.
I did not appreciate Patrick's tone in the video, it just seemed like whining. Being burned out on raiding, I needed something easy to start caring again. And here it is! My raid group will be collecting sweet lewtz tonight.

Brilliant!
Edit: I am also a Lawyer guardian.

Well, I like to assume the best of people and I don't have the time or energy to look them up just to throw shade their way. I would also find it highly unlikely that someone would pay for all the HM runs it would require to get the HM shader. Trials, it definitely happens and I don't like it, but again, I will give them respect until they show they don't deserve it.
NeonBison
When I see someone with the zombie dance, I think "that person spent $7" not "that person has a cool dance." Same with this RaF stuff. If I see someone with a tron sparrow I'll think, "that person recruited a friend" not, "that person has a cool sparrow." These cosmetic items don't really mean a whole lot for me. I think it's much more impressive to see someone with the HM shader or Trials emblem. When I see those, I think, "that person WORKED for that."
NeonBison
they'll probably release a high five emote for silver eventually.
NeonBison
If Activision could make money doing it, they absolutely would. It must be prohibited by law in Japan. That's the only reason they wouldn't do this.
NeonBison
it sounds like a tennis ball to me. I love it.
NeonBison
It should (hopefully) still be good in PVP after the nerf, just not as dominant as it is now.
NeonBison
I never checked but I would assume it did since the sound played.
NeonBison
Exactly as you point out, it means very little to have the extra weapons; accordingly, contrary to your position that having them is potentially game breaking, you have proven my point that they are insignificant and therefore not game breaking.
I would also point out that there are other reasons to be able to order/hold more than three orders. Let's say I'm holding PDX-45 for a bit hoping for a great roll. Next week rolls around and we get the PDX-41 (I can't remember whether it's 41, but it's the slower firing pulse rifle) and I pick that up in hopes for a good roll. The week after that we get a Cocytus SR4 (scout rifle) that I've been waiting on for awhile and another Lyudmila. Now I can't order both of them without giving up one of my other packages.
Ok, so bungie doesn't want me to be able to do that. Well, they have been letting us do it and it was nice. I like nice things, so I'd like it to stick around. This is really my point. I don't like to be tricked.
