Condensation was definitely greater in the beginning, and is much less now. Most of the moisture may be currently locked up in the algae.

One thing I noticed early on is keeping the jar out of direct sunlight might help.

😆 Now I can’t unsee the chicken! There used to be a lot of condensation on the inside of the glass, maybe it kept rinsing it clean? 🤷‍♂️

I used techniques very similar to this video. I added a layer of activated carbon on top of the drainage rocks, and a nylon screen mesh on top of the carbon to keep the dirt separated.
